Am going to sunshine hotel and residence at the 18th of Aug and i want to get info about this hotel.

Please help.

I heard that the swimming pool is closed due to construction works in the hotel.

Although I'm not saying there until Dec, I'd like to know as well.

 

According to the Sunshine website, the construction was supposed to finish at the end of July, but it would not surprise me that the schedule has been extended...

 

I sent them an email, but haven't heard back yet. My next step is to just call them next week and ask.

i stayed there my first trip to LOS, no mention of construction or pool closing(was closed and demo started on old wing) this was 15-16 months ago, front desk help shite, however all other staff was great. If your not locked into a reservation, same area, try flipper lodge.

They had a buy 6, 1 free(1 week) and a buy 11 , 3 free(2 weeks).

Other than that great location, first trip lets ya learn the area . 30USD a night 1/2 block from beaach road, and 1/2 block from 2nd road Soi 7 & Soi 8 ...............

First trip of a month never got past a square of before mentioned, and still never went to all the bars in area.

Now I pay 165 USD a MONTH IN JOMTIEN

And why is this post posted in the Dutch forum ???

Stayed there in april, and they are building a new wing so the pool are closed or just not there anymore.

I did not hear to much noise from the building activities so i would not worry about that.

 

Will check in again next week.

I hope they will finish it soon

My understanding is that the new wing will open in early November. So I think it can be assumed that all the heavy construction has been done at this stage.

Precies, ik begrijp er ook geen snars van waarom ze het op het NL talig forum hebben geplaats..Om op jouw subject terug te komen, waar haal je die 2 kroketten en kaassoufle dan in Pattaya. Las paar maanden geleden iets over een nieuwe Vlaamse friettent maar heb hem nog niet gevonden..

Same as me, no mention of anything, I arrive last June (2010) and every morning without fail at about 8am, boom! bang! Not a mention on website or anything, didn't even know till I arrived lol My first trip and my first girl, who took nearly two weeks to leave me, insisted we go drink in her bar across the Soi so pretty much heard it all the time.

 

Was in Pattaya in May and although the noise is reduced a bit, it still didn't look anywhere near completion.

 

If you haven't paid for your entire trip, I'd look into staying in a guesthouse like the one mentioned above, much cheaper, friendlier and most have bars down stairs to socialise in rather than a dead hotel lobby where no one actually hangs out lol

Die Vlaamse friettent heb ik ook nog niet gevonden maar ga vanavond met een Belg op stap dus daar kom ik snel genoeg achter .

Ik was gister in de supermarkt. Niet normaal zeg, wat een enorme collectie aan sunshine sathe stokjes. Op 18 augustus zag ik de wc papier van Residence al staan, maar die heb ik toen maar laten schieten. De bloemenzaak boven het hotel was ook niet verkeerd, heerlijke leverworst verkopen ze daar. Ik heb toen wel even flink uitgewaaid in het zwembad welke overigens nog steeds in verbouwing was. Wat je ook niet moet vergeten is dat vier en zes dertien is.

Ja kijk, als je Mokum heet dan sluit je je een beetje af van alles wat beneden de rivieren speelt , maar volgens mij bedoel jij het Belgisch Friet kot aan Soi 9 Thapparaya Road.

Over vooroordelen gesproken beste Joseph desalniettemin ben je wel op de hoogte van de geuzennaam van NL mooiste stad ;-) Dank voor de adresgegevens van het Friet Kot, binnenkort daar eens een poging wagen.

My first trip to LOS was back on the 29 July 11, the hotel is still has a lot of construction going on not sure if the pool was open or not as I didn’t really spend anytime checking it out. I first book the hotel on for only 3 days as if I didn’t care for it I could find another. As I had learn from the board about not being locked into a long-term stay at a hotel.

 

Check in was easy no trouble with my reservations as I had book online. The staff was very friendly and helpful; the room was nice for the price.

 

If you are a late sleeper then you will have problem with the construction noise as it can get loud starting around 7 or 8 in the morning as last all day into the late afternoon and sometime the evening hours. I had a room on the 7th floor facing the alley and next to where all the new construction was going on.

 

The hotel itself is located in the center of Soi 8, which is where I choose so that I was in the middle of everything. There are bars across from the hotel and as you make your way to beach rd. There are more bars and a Currency exchange booth and ATM only a few meters from the hotel entrance. The hotel was girl friendly as long as she has ID. But I did book my room at the double occupancy rate as to avoid any unexpected charges for a guest if the hotel has such a charge.

 

The room was normally cleaned daily if I needed it clean but always got fresh towel or other items for the room. The fridge was stocked with different items which if you use would be charged to your room. Two free bottles of water were provide each day. There was no safe in room but they do have safe deposit boxes at the reception desk. The laundry service was pretty good also no complaints at all. One thing if you are planning to spend more time in around the Soi 6,7,8 area is a good spot if you plan on spend a lot of time on walking street and that end of town I would say get something closer even though it's a short ride to get to walking street. Overall not a bad hotel or location for the price but that is just my opinion. As this was my very first trip to the LOS.

Bij ons hadden ze het er altijd over dat zelfs de lucht uit Den-Bosch nog niet eens deugde .

Oh ja Jerry, in Den Bosch is de lucht zo slecht omdat al die Bosschenaren nooit of te nimmer hun grote bek kunnen houden.
