Why does that make it hostile, most Thai bank will not give CC to Farangs, only debit, if you don;t like the bank change, but you still will not get a CC

Got my debit card a couple of trips ago. Took all of 20 minutes. Was a very pleasant experience. If your not Thai, slim chance chance of getting a CC.

I tried to get one a few years ago.

You can be sure in getting one:

- with a work permit

- with your employer as a guarantor OR

- if you put e.g. THB 150,000 in a blocked bank account for a cc with THB 100,000 credit.

 

If you need a cc for online-payments, you could also try the Kasikornbank K-Webcard. It's a debit card, with credit card facilities. You can top-up the amount on the webcard whenever needed.
