Full Moon Party - Koh Phangan Hotels

Hey guys.

 

Will be in Thailand on the 7th of september. Also planning on attending the Full Moon Party in Koh Phangan. Was looking for some hotel accomadations.

 

There are 2 of us travelling. We both have our own rooms for the entire trip. Would it be beneficial to stay in seperate rooms in Koh Phangan as well? Budget is not much of an issue but don;t want to spend like idiots either.

 

Any good hotel reccomendations?

What I've been told about FMPs is you really need to stay at Haad Rin and that beach gets full up fast at FMPs. Friends say you really got to get there a few days before the event and keep a room/rooms. They tell me during the FMP you see people all over the place who ca't get a room, they sleeping on beach and friends balconies. You can get a room in town or at another beach no problem but then you may have trouble getting back after the party, or have to pay through the ass for a ride back to your room.
