I'm trying to book the Presidential Suite for a week in Feb. 2009, anyone else have experience with this suite? Does it have a decent view? Sounds good and although there may be better "values" in Patts it's a steal compared to most places in the world at a bit over $100 per night.

I tried to book a deluxe room from 5/29 - 6/11 but they are sold out.

They only have standard rooms available, and the 3rd person 500 bah fee is non-negotiable.

 

I wasnt' asked to pay any additional joiner fee for my 3rd party, but I didn't take 2 girls till I was a week into my stay and had made friendly with the staff. I walked up to the counter for my key fully expecting to pay the joiner fee yet the staff said nothing to me and I didn't see it on my check out receipt either. Believe me I checked.

 

...some times we all get lucky.

as far as the electricity is concerned, what i did was use an old credit card that i put in the slot. worked great.

This place looks good is there any other for around the same price that anyone would recomend.

Going next year for first time.

Would be good to have a few choices with good reviews :D

I stayed the last 8 days in the Pattaya Bay Resort, these are my comments....

 

I am very pleased with this hotel, the place is very clean and the staf are very polite.

I stayed in a standard room, for this price I think it will be hard to find a similar accomodation.

It are those small things that make the difference, friendly cleaning people, security all arround, they check by phone when the lady leaves if it is OK.

 

 

The only down side here is that the walls are very thin and if your neighbour is calling longdistance and has the tendency to shout you will here each word as clear as it is in your room. however every side has a good side, if your neighbour is banging his girl in the middle of the night my girl got horny when she heard and wanted to give it an other go as well......

 

I also scheduled an airport pick-up, I flew in to Singapore and the connecting flight was gone when we arrived.

I just called them to let them know I would be 2 hours late, no problem and the driver just waited... and he was as well friendly and understood it was out of my reach.....

 

To PBR team thanks for the wonderfull time I could spend in your resort....

From the 5/29 ? Is that a typo? Did you mean from the 5th of September - 6th of November?

 

Surely they can't be booked out that far in advance?

He didn't say they were booked through November. He tried to book a deluxe room on May 23 for his stay of May 29 through June 11. He clearly stated there were standard rooms available. I booked for the month of October with no problems.

Ah, Yes... have to get used to the way Americans date things as it's back to front from what the rest of the world do... :Oops1:

 

Anyway, Just got an e-mail back from the hotel itself confirming that I have 8 nights in the deluxe room, so I'm happy and can't wait! :)

Great value off season but very very very expensive in peak season for the standard of hotel it is and the lady joiners charge is outrageously high...

 

There are much better place's peak times to be had but it is nice hotel and it sells the dearest cup of tea in Pattaya....

On the Secrets forum, they've been saying that they don't kick off on the building site until 8am and that there is no joiner fee if you're not bringing back more than one lady...? :P

On the secrets forum, they've been saying that they don't kick off on the building site until 8am and that there is no joiner fee if you're not bringing back more than one lady...? :P

8am would be about right, however on my visit during the time the construction began I had a room on the construction side of the hotel and this maybe disturbed me once of twice in a stay of just over 3 weeks

I believe the construction has moved on since then, so currently the pile driver is not really in use as much, it would be interesting to hear from anyone who has stayed there in the last 1 or 2 weeks to confirm this.

just booked the last two weeks in august and so far so good quick response no credit card scam for reservation and i get two free nights with the special they got going...hope the thin walls and noise issues are not a problem because when i been up all night drinking and flucking i SNORE like a donkey so i hope i don't piss off my neighbors :D

I will be in Pattaya with my wife and 2 kids for a month starting July 19....I stayed at PBR once before and it was nice...the only minor problem I had was the pool was a bit small. As for the noise, Ihope my 18 month old daughter won't disturb you guys :D See you guys in 10 days!!! :D
