I wish I had a contact for the military guys.... invite them down to MASH for some military themed fun and games, with special discount for the heroes of course :)

I am definitely going to check out MASH when I get into town Saturday. I am US military and its always good to see people supporting us! Im not with the Navy but will be there on Vacation and you just put MASH in my list of places to visit. Thanks!

this subject comes up every year, usually about the cobra gold exercises.

i get on googs to plan my trips around them.

but USS GW is good news for me. my good mate is an air traffic controller on it so i can look forward to meeting lots of his buddy's.

but as per your question, the girls know they will be throwing alot more money at them than us, so get in early or get a GF/GFE for a few days.

i just carry a phone full of numbers.

I got a friend on that boat, and he is bringing a few friends along to party in Jomtien.

I will try to get them over to MASH.

There is little effect. Most can only short time as 80% have a curfew of 11-12. Many just drink and party. Also, you rarely see them in LK Metro or past Walking Street or Soi 6.

 

You may notice some blowing large amounts of cash in a gogo on ping pongs, etc, but the truth is, most don't take girls that much and when they do it's strictly short time. The curfew is so they don't cause problems in the discos late.

An astonishing change to how it was in past times. I was in Patts in 1978/79 when some big US fleet came in, 5000 guys on leave I heard, they came ashore in landing craft and a couple of hours later they were falling down drunk in the middle of the beach road and getting about with a bargal on each arm. Pattaya was jumping for the time they were in town, girls from Bangkok chartered a bus and came down for the pickings.

The Us military usually keeps the Katoys happy and seven eleven on beach rd .

Not sure about pattaya but in Phuket they do not make much affect on the girls.

I remember the old day when there where two or three ships in town , now that was a problem .

Old BJ had a bar full of pictures and memorabilia , think his place was on soi 1
