Translation help please - stormy weather

As part of my multi-pronged attempt on learning Thai, I seem to have acquired a pen-pal. She does realise how limited my ability in paasaa Thai is but occasionally things that she writes do rather baffle me. I had an email yesterday saying how she had got home late from work yesterday as she had to spend so much time setting up buckets to catch the rain drops. That gave me context to help with an extra email that came through today I am stuck on part of it. For reasons of context I have put the whole of the line in:

 

อรุณสวัส เช้านี้ฝนก็ยังตกเกมือนเดิม

 

How I read this:

 

Morning! This morning it's raining again still (crash ??? does this bit mean something like thunder and lightning?) from the beginning.

 

I have tried to translate loosely. It goes on to describe how her fish pond has over flowed and the fish are swimming around in front of the house!

 

Help would be greatly appreciated

I think it's a typo and the last part should read เหมือนเดิม = like before
