Hello, fellow mongers.

I've been coming to Pattaya for several years now, and tried just as many hotels. Something they ALL had in common-hard and very firm mattresses. The deal with me is that I have a bad right shoulder, so when the mattress is damn hard like a board, I can only sleep on the left side, which is a pain in the arse.

Has anyone here stayed at a Pattaya hotel, where the mattresses were NOT firm, but instead, they were actually comfortable, i.e. something you could sink into?

Thanks so much for your replies. I am about to book a room for late November, for 2 weeks.

Yes, I have, in Pattaya and in Bangkok as well, very comfortable in both cases. Hong Kong equally.

Great, thank you, my friend the Canadian. Can you remember the name of the hotel?

The king size bed at Pattaya discovery beach at soi 6/1 is nice, and the pillows are huge but the rooms are not cheap.

I was very happy with my bed at Siam guest house. Not hard and not too soft.

So pleased in fact that I have booked the same room for next month.

If it flies, floats or fucks - it will be cheaper to rent !

I sent you PM saying that in fact, I can remember it well.

My bed at LK Renn was very soft and comfortable. Same with my bed at view talay 6 through Dancewatchers. I need a bed that I can sleep with my arm/shoulder underneath my head.

The 3 different rooms i have tried in Opey de Place all had very comfortable beds. Not to hard not to soft just very comfortable.

Everyone has the right to my opinion

I remember the beds at Sandy Spring were pretty good but they've recently put their prices up.

My Pattaya budget is perfectly adequate as long as I don't spend any of it

Thank you for your reply, friend. I have wanted to book at Opey de Place. Now your confirmation of comfortable beds just did it for me. I'll be booking there soon the last two weeks of July.

A little late for that isnt is - unless you ar talking about just about a year from now :D .

I do hope you will enjoy your stay (i am sure you will) it is a nice hotel in a good location. Rooms are fine, staff very friendly and beds - unless they have changed them which i would doubt - very comfortable both for sleeping and horisontal exersice :P

We have slumberland mattresses at the China Garden, they were something crazy like 40,000 baht each but bought them on sale in Home Pro

No wonder I managed to get more sleep during my last trip :Grin_Jump1:

It's better to pay now then to pay later. Nothing is free.

LOL! Yes, 69, you got me there. I meant the last two weeks of November. This kind of very specific research, like finding comfortable mattresses in Pattaya, can only be done on a forum like this one, it seems. It's a big deal for me, on account of my bum shoulder.

Also, would you reccomend a certain type of room, or floor, or facing the pool, or is there a noisy side? I figured since you were the man with all the "intel", why not ask?

Sorry, I have never found a soft bed in Pattaya. The most comfortable I have found is PBR

I have to agree. Sometimes I wish I could take the PBR mattress home with me, it's so comfortable!

Agreed. This would have to be the most comfortable bed that I have slept on in Pattaya also.

It was not "sink-in soft" but it certainly was not hard either.

Also the beds were not noisy also.

I have a noisy bed...such a distraction. :)

Not really any reccomandations, havent tried the poolside rooms - preferred a view to the street. Tried the Junior suite (well one of them - beleive they have 2 or 3)and that was very nice - but it did not have a balcony which i like to have, and it was on 6th floor (you have to take the stairway from 5th) and WiFi did not work - apparantly their router is to weak to reach the rooms up there... The standard rooms are ok - i had one on 4th and one on 2nd (if i remember right)and would prefer these rooms anytime.

Never experienced any noisy sides - the rooms facing the street are ok as Soi Lengkee is not too noisy - a few bars across the street can make some noise but if you close the door to the balcony the noise is reduced to absolutely nothing.

Hope this helps you!
