The last day is usually on the 19th in Patts , starts around the 12th...You will miss it all :GoldenSmile1:

If it floats, flies or fucks It's probably cheaper to rent ...

easy going...the last big day for Songkran is the 19th.

By the 22nd, you'll be arriving to a ghost town, more or less.

Songkran is fun and fine. Just pick your days. It is well worth it.

Lotsa drunken debauchery.

Keep all your valuables in your room, or in a waterproof baggie.

Watch your own alcohol intake....and have fun!

Why people in Thailand celebrate Songkran?

It is the celebration of the Thai New Year. Also it is the end of the dry season, and the beginning of the rainy season hence many seem to beleive that is the reason for all the water throwing. This is what many is being told even by Thais nowadays. The water however is meant as a symbol of washing all of the bad away.

Everyone has the right to my opinion

For those who might want to know more about the Songkran there are plenty of info here: http://songkran.tourismthailand.org/index.php

A lot of other places on the net also has a lot about this subject, but the above link is run by Tourism Authority of Thailand.

Did 2 days of songkran in BKK and 4 days in Patts this year. What can i say?

For someone thats like a 33yo teenager. It's some of the best fun i've had in years.

From playing with water during the day to the street party we had in Soi 6 on the saturday.

Woot Woot

The funny thing about first impressions is you don't get a second chance at them!

They also wash the Buddha images.

I think the water has a lot to do with this.

And also for the fact that it is meant to be the hottest time of the year.

I'm planning on being in Pattaya for Songkan next year.

Never done it before and looking forward to it!

I deliberate avoided it last year.

I think I need to at least try it.

I know I am expecting to get very wet though.
