Need two week short-term rental

I plan to arrive in Pattaya around August 29. I would like to spend no more than two weeks in a temp rental while I look for a long-term apartment rental. During the two weeks, I would like to stay in a service apartment or a hotel. I have read some good things about the Southern Star Resort in Pattaya. Have any of you guys stayed there?

 

In addition, I would like to get some recommendations for a service apartment. It should be centrally located to supermarkets, restaurants, and it should be in a quiet area. A price of about 15,000 THB for two weeks or a little more would be acceptable.
