Buy or Rent a Condo or use Hotels?

A question aimed primarily but not exclusively to those repeat visitors to the LoS, is it better to Buy or Rent a Condo or use hotels or Guest Houses?

 

What's your opinion and why?

There are a few things to consider.

 

How often do you go to patts

 

how much rent do you normally pay a week .

 

against what your outlay to purchase property and the interest earned on that principal outlay if invested would be less tax

 

If you spent 10,000 bht a month on accommodation anything more than an outlay of 200,000 bht would not be worth it as you should be able to earn more than what the rent is if you invested that money.

 

but it also depends on how much you would spend on rent.

 

basically you need to ask yourself can i earn more money investing the money you would have tied up in property or save more by purchasing the property.

 

for me the amount of time I spend in Patts it's cheaper to invest
