Breakfast around Soi Lenkee?

Recommended Posts

Hello,

in soi buakhaow, i can recommend the Butcher arms, they did a good breakfast, not expensive for all you got, you have the big or the small one.

140 bath; egg, bacon, sausage, red peas, potatoes...only coffee, is good, but they pull up the price to 60 bath for one cup.

café pitini is ok, but i don't know how they cook their egg, maybe don't change there oil, the taste is quite...special. eat it everyday, you will never go there anymore.

but their paninis is ok.

you can also give a try to Diana Dragon, soi diana inn, Buffet breakfast for 120 bath ! all you can eat.

+1 for the Diana Dragon. Eggs are cooked to order, some Thai food and great view of the Soi Diana crowd. Quality isn't the best but good value.

You are talking about 8am in the morning.

Nothing is open.

I did train the guy watching the burger place outside of Opey De Place.

First you order a bacon Roll.

Two Slices of bacon.

Then ask for two eggs. He will use the heart shape rings.

Before he cooks the roll in the microwave get him to put it on the grill and toast it.

Then make sure he puts half the roll in the take away container, put the eggs on top, lay the bacon on the side and get him to cut the top of the bun in half.

Grab a cup of tea from 711.

Best value in Soi Lengkee before 8am.

Alternative is to go back to bed until after 9am :GoldenSmile1:

I reckon it's hard to go past The Loaf. Great little cafe between Opey de Place and the Family Mart.

18 coins has good food, as mentioned in the above posts. But for me hard to say as i eat breakfast in mid afternoon.

More than once I've had a breakfast burger at that cart outside Opey de Place after staggering home under the beating sun. The last time a guy sat down beside me who closely resembled "The Stranger" in "The Big Lebowski" Could have been a hallucination though.

Loaf is still good, but it seems more popular now than when I started going there and the service not as good as it once was. Last time I got scrambled egg on toast with smoked salmon breakfast the two pieces of baguette toast were tiny - or at least it seemed to me - compared to previous. Though the taste is still quite good.

If you got so slaughtered the night before that you can't stomach a western breakfast, get around the Barbie Bar on Chaiyapoon and get a bowl of chicken soup and a serve of rice.

Hard to find a decent breakfast. Most consist of fake orange juice, over cooked eggs, tasteless sausage, tinned beans and HP sauce to hide the lot.

You'd should count yourself lucky if you find a place offering decent coffee, bacon, toast and fruit.

i'd rather eat a fishes face than a steak and kidney pie

My upcoming trip I'll be staying in Soi Lenkee. I tend to sleep little whenever I'm overseas, so I'll often look for food around 8am. Anyone has recommendation for breakfast places around the area? Thanks smile.gif

My friends and I found ourselves eating at Irish Rovers a lot for breakfast. We tried a lot of places in the area and most of them were very good but Irish Rovers had the best price point for what you got. We're Americans so at first we had to get used to eating beans, blood sausage, and sliced tomato with our bacon and eggs but we got used to it and we actually started craving it after long nights of drinking. We also ate at Canterbury Tale's because that's where we stayed. They're breakfast is pretty good too but you get more food at Irish Rovers.

A few times we did not want to eat Western style breakfast and we found a little thai food place across the street from the Katsiree House. Very good Thai food and very cheap. Really cheap. The water is served in pitchers and you have to scoop your own ice there so if you're leery about that sort of thing you might want to buy some drinks from 7-11 up the block before you come here to eat.

Coffee and croissants at Loaf.

Or the breakfast pizza if you are hungry.

The other bakery to the left of Triangle and up a few yards.

Yeah I guess that is soi excite.

Banana pancakes omelets, baked goods. Tasty.

While you eat you can watch people from all over

pick up their bread products. Looks like they bake

for quite a few local businesses. Worth a try.

A bit far ... Although not a hard walk at 7-8 am (done it many times).... Jolly's on Soi Buakhow is by far the best breakfast in the area

... And free wifi ... Spent many an early AM there ... Never finished the entire breakfast :)
