Please be aware of the following notification (copied from UK Border Agency's website). If your teerak is taking a English A1 test from a test provider which falls within the transitional approved list but not in the new list, please make sure the settlement visa applications will be submitted on or before 17 July 2011.

Transitional arrangements - spouses and partners

If you apply as a spouse or partner, and we receive your application on or before 17 July 2011, you can demonstrate your English language ability using a test (whether booked or taken) that is on the existing list of approved tests for partners.

From 18 July 2011, only tests on the new list can be used to demonstrate your English language ability as part of a spouse or partner application.

Yea heard about this some time ago, there will be no more test centres in Pattaya and you will have to do the test on one of the 2 centres in BKK or one I think in Chang Mai, government is looking at changing things again later on this year regarding people coming over on settlement visa's to the UK which I am sure they will make it harder !!!!

I think it will never be as hard as that of USA. But I just hope it's not getting worse too much.
