What hour do yo like to leave Pats for the flight back home?

I'm curious what PA members think about this, maybe for some it doesn't even matter.

Do you like to go LT the last night and leave around noon?

Or have some fun ST during the day and leave early evening?

Maybe even other options?

Enlighten me guys.

My last few trips have been with different airlines, so times varied. If i could choose it would be Eva or Thai to Heathrow departing around 1pm. Leaving Pattaya about 8.30-9am would be just about right. Nice and quiet in the morning and not to many distractions. It wouldn't be the first time i have left early evening and had the taxi turn around and head back to Patts. Anything for a few more days.

I like to leave pattaya in the evening around 8pm for a flight in the early hours, this means i can still go on the rip on my last night without having to worry about traveling when still drunk. Its depressing enough sitting in that taxi bring you to the airport, doing it pissed is shite. Anyway, i like to get things sorted in the afternoon, do a spot of shopping for gifts and have a nice dinner before i go back home.

Ps, I always like to arrive early, like touchdown at around 6-7am so im in Pattaya for 10ish when the place is abit more quiet :)

Keep it creammy !!!

it doesnt matter what time you get the taxi to the airport, you are still gonna be in the biggest living hell you could ever imagine, it never gets any easier, especially for us unlucky b******s going back to the uk.

I always leave around 8pm in the morning as i always get the early afternoon flight with Eva air back to Heathrow.

As for the girls. I have had repeat LT in the past with fav girls from the trip so i know there will be no drama on my last night. Having said that though, the last couple of trips i just had a couple of short times on my last night.

The plane leaves at 9:30pm and lands at 11:30pm. Not much more to it, only one flight a day so I do not have to think much. At least I can make it to work in good shape the next morning.

I travelled back at @8:30pm which I found to be ok (apart from the depression of having to leave) because I could recover from the night before drinking coke in the bar and saying goodbye. Flight got me back to the UK at 7:15am via UAE stopover (or it should have done if it hadn't been delayed for 14 hours in UAE) which would have been good for me cause I have a 3hr train journey when I get home so I guess it all depends on individual circumstances?

Some bloke was telling me Bangkok Suvarnabhumi a bit more casual than UK and presumably European/US/Australian etc. airports about check in times and he gets to the airport an hour or less before takeoff. Unfortunately my taxi guy came early @3:30pm so I had alot of time to be depressed in the airport.

My taxi leaves Pats 6 p.m. or sometimes 7 p.m. Night before my departure I prefer LT. Do not like style start crazy man and have four times ST last day.I strongly believe that I come back as soon as possible.

I prefer an evening flight when flying back home, have a good blow out on my last evening and don't have to worry about getting up early and packing my case hung over and feeling like shite going to the airport, my flight home on my next trip is 11.55pm which suits me down to the ground

Most of the flights from BKK back to Brisbane or Gold Coast are night flights, so that means leaving BKK either mid evening direct or early afternoon if i'm flying via KL. Either times are fine for me as i'm not an early riser and still lets me have a good time the night before without having to get up early.

The other advantage of the night flight and early AM arrival back home is I get to have a sleep on the plane (Thanks to those little purple sleeping pills available in most pharmacies)

Cheers

I always leave in the evening (taxi departure between 08.00pm and 09.00pm). Like this, I can wake up as I did during all my trip : without caring at the time (I don't know what is an alarm in Thailand), taking my time to boom boom with my last LT and eventually taking a last ST late in the afternoon. I have all time to realize it's nearly finished. I still have time to do stuff in order to "prepare" my departure or to either "prepare" my next trip (I still have time to buy things, to meet people for X reason, to tell people Y or Z). I can enjoy a last meal, a last journey in the city.

It's also a little bit "philosophical" : when the sun is down, when it's dark > it's the end. Sunset over my trip, time to go, time to change life. Next sunrise, next day : next life (everyday life). Yesterday I was in Thailand, today I'm in Europe. The night flight perfectly assured the transition as I arrive home in the morning (08-09am). That's it. Telling me "this morning I was in Pattaya, tonight I'm in my cold city" is too tragical.

I once took a noon flight. What a hell. It's already difficult to leave Thailand but that time it was worse than worse. First : wake-up early in the morning is horrible. You are tired, you leave tired and you arrive tired at home. Second : the last night is destroyed because you can't enjoy it as the others. Third and fourth : said before.

The best feeling I still don't know : leaving Pattaya when you know you come back 1 week or 10 days later... Maybe more reserved to residents or business men.

I tend to fly with Thai so I only have 2 choices of flight when leaving LOS, either it's 11pm or 7.50am.

So far, I've chosen to leave at 7.50am. I have a big 'going away' night 2 nights before leaving Pattaya and party myself out, a more quite time on my last night just with my LT and I having a final dinner and a few quiet drinks and booms, and leave town at 4am in a taxi to BKK.

Mostly this is because I don't sleep on the flight, I sit up and read through the trip home. Leaving at 11pm would mean arriving home completely knackered, whereas leaving in the morning means I'm back at my local pub with the lads by late afternoon. It helps me to get over the sadness of finishing my trip.

The other benefit seems to be speed through immigration/customs at both ends of the trip. I've never been stuck in big queues and exiting here in Perth has been a breeze, especially now I've learned to check myself through immigration with my microchipped Passport and the self-service machines - no queuing at all.

I'm still waiting patiently to win Lotto so that I can become a permanent commuterGoldenSmile1.gif.

Cheers

Leave Patts around 8pm. This allows the last night to be a bit of a blow out and delay packing until the morning.

Cant think of anything more depressing than packing on your last night because you have to get up at 7am to catch a flight.(Yes I done this once)

Later in the day gives more time to pop your LT once more, have another ST and get some grub to see you through to the Land of No Smiles :(

Leave Patts about 9am or later if i stay in Bangkok for the last night.

Get back in my house about 10pm on the Sunday night.

Then back to work the next morning :Hair_Out1:

Last it was 4 am. Quite much ok by me. Can have a nice long night and then being sleepy in plane.

Next will be 8 pm. Does not sound too good to me, but have to adjust and make it good.

Last trip, taxi was waiting for me at 6am. Most of my flights home have been between 6 and 9am, meaning I leave Pattaya between 3 and 6am. Still go out the night before, don't think I've ever done through outbound passport control in BKK completely sober. Not reeling drunk, of course, but definitely still a bit foggy.

Our 8am TG Flight BKK-MEL is a prick of a time, though the day-time flight is ok. I prefer the 10pm Jetstar as it allows you to ease out of Pattaya without a jolt.

I prefer the night flights as well. Plenty of time to prefer yourself for the flight back home no need to rush things in the morning or need to hold back on your last night of party.

Most annoying return was from Hua hin at 4.30 am to BKK to catch our flight at 11.00 am with air berlin.

Next trip i have the same problem but stay last two nights in BKK. Flight departure is at 8.35 am so need to take taxi in BKK at 5.30 am. Not perfect to end my last night, but ticket was ridiculous cheap with Ethihad so i takes this disadvantage with a smile!

A good girl gives you happiness and a bad girl gives you experience both are essential in life so enjoy every girlfriend!
