A 26-year-old bar worker died after being stabbed during a late-night fight on a baht bus over a customer.

Rattana Champasri, 26, suffered stab wounds to her chest and stomach in the 2:30 a.m. attack July 3 ????. Police quickly arrested Piyaporn Chinsiri, 27, who brought the injured woman to Pattaya Memorial Hospital covered in blood with the knife still in her hand.

Piyaporn Chinsiri points to the knife she allegedly used to kill Rattana Champasri.

Piyaporn reportedly told police the two had been working at the Hollywood disco and met a Japanese man in his mid-20s who had agreed to hire both of them for a short-time liaison. However, Piyaporn claimed that during the baht bus ride to the customer’s hotel Rattana tried to kick her out of the taxi. A fight ensued and, Piyaporn claimed, she used a knife in self defense.

Scared off, the Japanese customer fled the scene.

Piyaporn was taken into custody and charged with attempted murder.

No shit. That is one hell of a knife for a girl to be carrying around. The Japanese guy may never go to Thailand again after an experience like that thinking the knife could have ended up in between his ribs.

Why would a bar girl be walking around with a knife like that ? Maybe it was originally meant for the customer , we need to be alot more careful when bar fining these girls hopefully this worrying trend won't catch on . She must be one fucked up bar girl !

Totally agree Kano63, when they snap they seems to loose all control. During Songkran I was hanging out in the Made in Beer complex and witness a grumpy farang hit one of the BG having a bit fun with ice water. In a split second 4 or 5 BG where banging whatever they got in there hands on the falangs head. At least one of the big water guns broke and blood where floating. It should be a reminder to treat BG with respect and avoid the fruitcakes

I would say most girls in the p4p industry around the world carry some sort of weapon,

that's nothing new, it's just a form of safe protection, can't really blame'em.

I saw a big tough guy get beaten to the ground under a hail of stilettos, becauase he pushed an old lady toilet attendant. He thought he was above paying 5 baht for a piss. These girls didn't come from 1 bar, they even came out of the woodwork.

Bit like ringing the bell, same same but different.

The victim is dead and the perpetrator is charged with attempted murder? Only in Thailand.

Yea kind of like the two bullets to the back of the head suicides. If I was that Japanese dude I would have fled too no way I want to be dragged into that kind of scene.

Lets keep it in perspective, I was reading recently the Kentish gazette newspaper from back home and there were 2 stabbings, one fatal, several muggings by Eastern European layabouts, a Muslim Cabbie ran over someone and got away with it because he didnt understand the pelican crossing, fuel was about 1.80 per litre, some guy refused to pay a fine for putting bottles in his wheely bin and got 3 months in nick, some guy lost his licence because he had drunk 2 glasses of wine that the police gave him in a charity raffle, there were so many stupid stories in it, it made me so pleased I live here.

If you think Pattaya is bad walk out late in London or Manchester pissed and see how far you get.

My thoughts, too -- I don't see this a threat to mongers, but as a means of keeping themselves safe.

These girls are CLEARLY carrying cash after a LT (or even a ST) -- if they have no means of self-defense/protection, they are a likely target for Thai criminals. In addition, although the members of this board are all (fairly) honorable, there are people out there who might be quick to steal from -- or do worse to! -- these girls. I don't blame them at all for having some means of insuring their safety.

Another reason why I try to be careful of the girls I barfine. And the ones I do I treat with kindness, not that I would ever do otherwise but they can mess you up real good, especially the ones that have become 'hardened' to the business.

I assume these were two free lancers?

:Hello: a very sad story, desperate people do desperate things :Insanity: . having had 2 very close friends murdered, in a seemingly minor alteration that got out of hand very quickly. my advice is when anything starts to get out of hand just walk away ,if it is over a few baht just pay up ,it`s not worth dying over money or wounded pride :001_Thank_You5:

Yup totally agree,

The UK with the influx of immigrants, originally being brought up in countries that don't have the same respect from life as we have, causing an increase in serious assualt, knife crime, and murders. Not 100% their fault, as where they come from they have to do anything to survive, unfortunately the mentality they have brought to Britian.

Eastern european, arabic, muslims, African etc..........they all have been brought up in tough times, civil wars, extreme poverty etc.

Don't get me wrong, i am not against immigrants or people seeking asylum, they just have to change their morals and shed the practice of extreme violence when coming to a new country and abide by their laws.

Even the girls who are not fucked up carry knives with them in the belief that it will offer them some protection if things fuck up

This is a very sad story...One girl is dead and her family will no doubt be devastated and the other girl looks like spending many years in a Thai jail...not something anyone would like. We can only guess at the way the drama unfolded on the back of a Baht bus but it is obviously about money and not worth the results.

As for the knife, who amongst us has not picked up (or at least looked at) one of these from a street vendors store somewhere in Pattaya. I can't blame the girls for wanting some protection.

If we can learn anything from this , we should remember that for us 1000 baht is a small amount but for some of these girls it must mean soooo much more if they are willing to fight for it like this. We need to appreciate this when we are dealing with these kids.......

There are some that only employ words for the purpose of disguising their thoughts.
