KET info and pattaya english teacher

Hi Guys,

Was wondering if anyone can help me with this one...

My mate has a 2 year old kid with a TGF. He has done a DNA test and the girl is his.

He is now looking to bring them across on a fiance visa. One of the main stumbling blocks is that although his TGF speaks quite good English(IMHO), she has been told she has to sit the KET(key english test) before she can get a visa.

Does anyone know of a teacher in Patts that can get her through this test.

Cheers

I am a visa consultant and I put up a similar question in another forum for about 2 weeks. So far I can see 40 views but no reply at all. It's similar to what happened in this forum. I have done some researches and find that there are significant changes in the list of approved test providers as from 18 July 2011. It seems that there are only about 2 test centres in Pattaya which are still on the approved list on a transitional arrangements but they won't be an approved one any more after 17 July 2011. Be aware of the following information from the UK Border Agency's website. So if your TGF is going to take any test in these 2 test centres in Pattaya, please make sure she gets the pass result submitted to the UK Visa application centre on or before 17 July 2011.

Transitional arrangements - spouses and partners

If you apply as a spouse or partner, and we receive your application on or before 17 July 2011, you can demonstrate your English language ability using a test (whether booked or taken) that is on the existing list of approved tests for partners.

From 18 July 2011, only tests on the new list can be used to demonstrate your English language ability as part of a spouse or partner application.

I believe that there are many good English teachers in Pattaya. But it seems to me that the settlement visa applicants have to sit for a test in Bangkok and the choices are limited.

If any of you know anything about good English teaching schools with English tests permitted to be conducted in Pattaya. Please share this information with us.

Thanks for posting on this subject . My friend has now got in touch with a Canadian guy teaching English in Pattaya and things seem to be going well
