I'm seriously starting to change the way I think about HIV, Karl. I think the chances of catching HIV from an infected woman through vaginal sex if you are fit and healthy and don't have cuts on your penis are virtually none.

Those surveys that come up with these encouraging statistics tend to be conducted with faithfull married couples in which one is HIV+. A situation far removed from the mongering scene in Thailand with multiple partners, STD's and drink and alcohol lowering peoples resistance to infection. Believe me when you know people that have been infected there the statistics all go flying out of the window.

I am pissed at the moment so not a good time to post as in the past whilst under the influence I have said and posted things I later regretted. This could very well be one of those times.

 

There is so much fucking bullshit posted about HIV and Aids however it is something I know more than a little about as in my professional life I have come into contact with hundreds of HIV infected individuals I also support a charity in Rayong for HIV sufferers (mainly children)

 

I am not going to criticize anyone for what they have said in fact I have not even bothered to read past the 1st and last pages so what I am going to say may have already been said.

 

If anyone wants to know anything about HIV and Aids I would suggest a forum that is comprised of mongers (myself included) whose primary objective is to fuck as many young women as they can for as little as possible thereby maximizing the amount of women they can fuck is not the place to start in spite of what they may think.

 

May I instead suggest that someone who is concerned seek out professional medical advice or at the very least take some advice from websites dedicated to this very subject.

Both of the people I know rely on state help to pay for their treatments. Some of the drugs that they have to use have improved. I tasted a bit of one of them once and it was revolting! Some of the drugs have to be eaten at certain times which governs details such as when they can eat. Obviously when they travel they are often in fear of a knowing official finding their drugs and knowing what they are for. I've even "smuggled" some of the into other countries for one of them. I think that they normally see a specialist for blood work to monitor the virus's progress about once every three months. The body develops resistance against some of the treatments eventually so combinations of them have to be changed and sometimes treatments dropped and new ones adopted. from what I've seen it really is nowhere anybody would want to be.

Don't mean to alarm you but mothers have been known to pass on the virus to their children through breast feeding. Of course a child will spend a lot of time breast feeding from its mother. I would say that the chances of getting infected in the circumstances you described are very low or even zero of course if she was not infected herself.

Well, it depends where you are. In the UK I believe that the state will pay for treatment. In the US the situation is not as clear cut. I believe that an infected person would need to get something called "Medicare". Most private insurance companies exclude HIV related illnesses from their coverage.

There are some parts of the body that are more receptive to HIV than others. Penis, vagina and anus all have cells that are very receptive to the virus. Second in line are your other mucus membranes like your eyes, nose and mouth. Open wounds do present some risk anywhere on the body but less so if it's somewhere like on your hand. I recently went to go get a massage and suddenly the girl started masturbating herself with the heel of my foot that is a bit scuffed up. I wasn't happy about that but the risk is probably negligible.

Has anyone bothered to get a girl tested prior to taking them for multiple days? I saw in a previous post that the testing takes about 2 hours. How much does the test cost? I'm just wondering if it's worth the peace of mind. I always wear a condom, but that doesn't prevent all methods of transmission. I know that at false negatives can be obtained at certain early stages if anyone wants to point that out. Just out of curiosity, don't the girls working in bars and go-gos get tested periodically? I'd hope that if they tested positive, they wouldn't be allowed to continue in those places.
