Ok in an attempt to be responsive rather than reactive, I have posted this Poll to see where BM's would prefer to have the Webcam positioned, (Other than in one of the rooms ;-) ) So kindly let us know your preference.

Not to sure about expense but a moving 90 degree cam wouldn't be a bad idea to see all the girls for the webcam feed and also for the Den to keep an eye on them and also for security!

 

Just a thought Cerberus, after clicking on the webcam on of the girls is on her laptop a rotating motorized wide angle cam would be beneficial to your establishment and take away any boredom for those watching the live stream and dreaming!

 

You may also want to upgrade to a better quality cam, again all to do with money etc and how far you want to take the whole webcam feed, personally i would have live chat going aswell where customers could pay so much a minute to chat with the girls in a private room, not sure if that is legal or doable in Thailand or not! It would top the girls salary up when not with a customer!

 

To answer the question i think the camera is to high placing it lower you would get a better view of all the girls and not just an overview!

I think a wide angle fixed camera at the ladies eye level when seated would be nice.Maybe off the table in the corner facing the lobby window(in the upper right of these photos).Of course the window would need obscured to protect the customers.

The new position for the webcam is grainy and the frame rate has dropped

I see the girls on their phones a lot so the girls can already get texts from guys they want to get texts from.

 

Can you imagine what some of the texts would be like if random guys could text them off the internet? I wouldn't wish that on anyone.

Well, I don't want you folks thinking that we moved the cam just to be mean:-) The vast majority (more than 95%) of the surfers on the DD website

are not in Thailand and not in a position to make a booking right then and there based on whom the camera is showing. So regardless of the position

of the camera, it has little effect on bookings (we track these things). I have the numbers for both high and low, and guys all over the world love

the low position and leave the webcam open all day long- and give us a rather large bandwidth bill for the same number of bookings LOL.

 

I've asked about the quality, and both the frame rate and quality are dependent on the clubs internet connection- which in Pattaya is rather

poor. I had a demo of a web controlled Pan-Tilt-Zoom implementation of the camera, and having a camera swivel and zoom right in on a ladies face

tended to cause them to dive under the table.

 

If the camera becomes too intrusive the ladies become unhappy- and it's not an issue I would push because their responsibility is to make the

customers they see in person happy. They are not webcam models and not paid to be such. I can't in good conscience say "oh it will help your

bookings" when I have seen the hard numbers and really the benefit to any one lady is minimal. I hope you gentlemen understand.

 

So it's not really "well you'll make a lot more money if you do it this way" situation- we won't. But it seems moving the camera will make our

customers happier, and even when that is not directly reflected in the numbers that is usually a good idea;-).

 

So give us a little to to get it sorted and the majority will be happy again

I love and appreciate the fact that you guys added the live cam but the overhead view has too much of an impersonal security cam feel to it. Seeing something at eye level and a girl flashing one of their great smiles from time to time is far more likely to attract me as a customer than a surveillance cam angle

Not just for offering to reverse the camera angle back to what it was before... but more importantly for taking the high road and as you said "to be responsive rather than reactive". It's a mark of a excellent manager and would have been true regardless of how the vote turned out.

 

But I will disagree with you on one point. I do honestly believe that the ladies smiling faces are your biggest selling tool next to positive feedback from your customers. It's not always easy to validate every action with a book ledger. I've been coming to Pattaya for years and can't ever remember a single case where a beer bar has made a baht off of one of those little frozen towels that they hand out on a hot summer day. But even after all these years... a cold towel on a hot day still leaves an impression.

 

I can understand that the ladies might be put off on the technology of the camera and find them intrusive in their personal space. But may I make one more suggestion... consider adding a feedback tool on the site. Some simple tool that allows us guys to send a message to the girls to compliment them on their appearance and or online personas. I could see where full blown texting could get out of hand, but I have never known a lady yet that didn't appreciate a compliment.

I perfer that the camera be on the table. But I do understand that the girls could use the extra space and the camera could sometimes get in the way.

 

But the bottom line is that you are doing this as a free service. So I don't have any right to complain. However you decide to handle this is fine with me. You know me, with or without the camera, it won't change the fact that I'll keep coming to the Den.

It's been about two weeks now... just wondering if we're getting any closer to moving the camera back to the beautiful faces and away from the kneecaps and ankle views?

THe Pan caught about 6 beautiful women sitting around the table.

By the way - I do select beer bars that I know will have the little cool towels when I get hot, so value add does = revenue even when not always readily linkable or visible in $
