first time

have been for many massages down the bukao end no problem

and elsewhere throughout pattaya- soi diana, Soi 6 jomtien, etc.. etc...

never had a problem anywhere over many years

today though the girl did the usual- oil massage on legs, building up to the usual- teasing a bit - a bit of pretence leading to the point after 10 minutes of chit chat of do you want special?

nope but a nice sexy rub is appreciated followed by smoke

she was ok with this for 10 minutes but then got pissed off as I changed position and gave instructions in thai as to what i like- nothing unusual but she seemed in a bad mood and then suddenly complained , lost temper and moaned that i wanted too much for the 500 B agreed

only here but now you say there too - you need pay more for 2 things - lick balls too is extra type charge

i got up and said never mind- feeling gone now- arom sia - didn't get cross but just said ok forget it-

i got a bad vibe off her at this point

got dresseed and went to pay the 200b fee

i was ready to pay some of the 500 and was expecting he rto hang around the door to negotiate a tip but didn't think I should pay all the 500 as had only received 20 minutes service before she lost her temper

she did apologise for it but then said no problem- just pay 200B and go

i went to go and then she asked for more- changed her mind

the cashier- big girl rough looking asked if i'd had a special or not to her in thai and the massage girl said sort off and wanted money

i was , as I said ready to pay but she hadn't yet spoken to me about it- instead she answered in thai the cashier

here's the scary bit

the cashier said to lock the door- so the glass sliding door got closed ( not locked) and another girl locked the back door

they assumed i was gonna cause trouble but i hadn;t yet even had the chance to speak with her- it happened real fast

the cashier got immediately on the phone and called someone to say we have a customer with a problem

they did not know that I've lived here many years and could understand thai

i watched this for 10 seconds and then turned to ask the girl how much she wanted- this was still my first opportunity

they had locked the door before even speaking with me

i asked how much she wanted and offered 300B - the massage girl agreed and the door got opened

i wasn't wanting to stay and see who will turn up to 'beat me up'

i have to say at no point did i lose my temper or insult them-

i did a great job of smiling throughout ( i've been here many years and recognised these were not nice people here - pay and get out

there were 4 girls around me at one point - it got very scary- you maybe think they are just girls but the ones at this shop are really rough and hard

there was a definite threat made and some insult made in my direction by one girl

strange place really

looking back i reckon they're on drugs -

there were girls lying around everywhere zonked out inside- strange vibe inside

i'll never return

there are many other places anyway

but i feel i handled it really well to just pay and get out still smiling

it could have gone really nasty if i was a wanker or argued

the scary thing was the locking of the door and the call

it came out of nothing- the situation went from no threat to serious in seconds despite no provocation

and without even a chance

 

so be warned

this is a place where i get the feeling they will happily bash you in and ask questions later

i wasn't waiting around to see what thai young prick was gonna turn up with 3 mates

Walked by many times and usually use the other massages in the same Soi (or Soi Honey).

 

Didn't feel that the girls are really interested and somehow my intincts told me to pass on that place.

 

Now I know why.

Thanks for the warning. And you handled it perfectly in my opinion. Displays of righteous anger often don't work out to well.

 

As for calling the tourist police, if you've had the door locked on you and are already surrounded by angry Thais...good luck making the call before the phone is ripped out of your hand.

Sounds like you dealt with this incident really well, but I get the feeling a less experienced Member may of not got out of it so lightly.

 

I have over the many Years visited heaps of MP and on the odd occasion had a slight change of plan when in the room and price agreed. But nothing like yours.

 

I guess we are all lucky mist of the time and when in Thailand pay up REGARDLESS as things very quickly have a habit of getting out of control, FAST

Sounds familiar. I just had a similar experience at a bar on soi chayapoon, I forget the name, but it's the second massage shop on the right coming from buakhao. Right from the word go she was pissed off about something. This is really unusual, the girls are usually very nice, and I've never had any trouble in about 2 months here. The first thing she says is "you fuck around pattaya?" I didn't really know what to say. Sometimes... "I not like man fuck around." and starts going into a rant about how everybody who comes to pattaya is evil. I try to convince her that not everyone is bad. Everything I say she makes some snide remark to, so as soon as shes finished the massage, poor laew krap. then she tells me "I'm going to cut off your legs."

 

I'm getting a pretty bad vibe about this place, so just chuck my clothes back on without having a shower, pay 200b and leave. Although in Australia I would have no hesitation in refusing to pay for such bad service, the best strategy in Thailand is to pay anyway and not get beaten up. Mission accomplished, though I won't be going anywhere near that place for a while.
