Swimming Pools open to non residents

Recommended Posts

I will shortly be making my 6th trip to Pattaya, and on this occasion I will be staying in a guest house off Soi Buakhao.

Normally I'm not up for 'water sports' other than those you might indulge in, in the room.

I would however like to locate some swimming pools in the locality opeon to non residents

Your help is appreciated guys.

Would really like to swim on this trip, but don't feel I want a dip in the sea.

Well, there is also one on top of Mike Shoping mall. Not far from soi Buakhao. Straight through Soi diana.

The LK Metropole pool is a good pool. I heard somewhere that there was a pool at the top of Mikes Shopping Mall. Can't remember where I heard so could be totally wrong...

I'm staying at China Garden hotel next trip , and you can use the pool at JP hotel for 100 baht per day.

So check with your guesthouse to see if they have 'arrangements' with another hotel

If you feel like spending a few extra baht, you can go over to the Hard Rock hotel on Beach Rd and pay a fee for a day's access.

I forget what it costs as I have not done so in a couple of trips...but I think its around 300 Baht...maybe a few more.

But, they have a great facility, top notch and VERY hot girls are generally around the pool.

Cheers, Alex

I swim a lot in France (4 times per week) and I have the accustomed to

chlorine.

But the pool of mike shopping mall have a really unhealthy water. I swim front crawl and

water come into my mouth and I spit. Within minutes I had

teeth attacked by chemicals (dry and sensitive).

No man it's really a pool on the roof of MSM as well.

May be it's 80 bath entrance, but don't know what you get for this.

But it's worth a try. There will be allways a bit wind, cool you up,

and you have a cool view over Patts as well. And if you hungry,go done to floor 5

and you can get very cheep but good thai food also, and than go back to the pool.

IMHP it will be a good and cheep place for swim 1 or 2 hours,or enjoy a whole day.

Cheers mate and enjoy it.

You can also try Tim Boutique, pay 100 at reception includes a soft drink. I was up there in February on Buddha day when at least 20 birds appeared for a party they were having. We got invited back but never went but that is one to remember for next time when the bars are shut.

I always use Mike's pool when in Pattaya. It's 80 baht for the whole day and located on the tenth floor of the mall. There are comfortable recliners you can sit on and shady areas so you are not in the sun. And the view of Pattaya from the rooftop location is fantastic.

  • 3 months later...

One of the best swimming pools available for non-residents is at Pattaya Hill hotel. Big pool, open bar and imposing seaview. i actually have beem there a few times, and never been charged anything - just no one asked me to pay..They also have shower cabins and small gym downstairs. It's situated a bit far off beaten track, Pratamnak soi 2, but if you drive motosai, it's must be ok.

The pool on top of mikes is 80 baht a day, you order food from the girls at the desk and it is brought out to you. Be Careful as it does have a breeze that takes the edge off the heat but not the intensity of the sun,so sun burn could be a problem.

Be well Dave
