Which of these hotels do you find most comfortable and best place to stay. Thinking about booking my next trip

LK Renaissance hotel

LK Metropole

Page 10

Heard all three have no joiner fees....how about general appearance and comfort of rooms. Which do you prefer and why....Pics of these hotels are welcome. Unfortunately when you look at the hotel site or Agoda you have no idea how old the pics are.

All too expensive for me! My TGF (on probation) used to work in Metropole and said it was nice.

My Pattaya budget is perfectly adequate as long as I don't spend any of it

LK Renaissance was plenty good when I stayed there last March. Nice, large room, staff was helpful, good location.

I can't comment on the others but all three have had good reports here.

If you expect to be a frequent visitor to Pattaya, the "points" program at the LK hotels may be a factor. See the link on their site for more info.

You've got them ranked correctly...

1. LK Renaissance

2. LK Metropole

3. Page 10

If you stay at LK Ren then you can use the pool and gym they have at the LK Metropole. The LK Ren has a pool, but it's small. The LK Ren rooms were very quiet. I don't think I ever heard my neighbours during my stay.

Check out reviews on trip advisor and roll then dice my brother. Page 10 is the newest of the three, but some reviews indicate there may be some sound-proofing issues.

If you want to slice your accomodation costs in half then you should consider staying in one of the guesthouses on Soi LK Metro (just off of Soi Diana - between LK Renaissance and LK Metropole). Less than 800bt per night and you've got an ensuited room with a/c and a lcd/plasma on the wall. Drunken Duck, Billabong, Pasadena Lodge, Irish Rovers, 3sum, etc... many to choose from.

Cheers and have a great trip...

I've not stayed at Page 10 but have stayed at the other 2. I would say buck for buck, LK Renaissance wins it for me. I have stayed in the Superior and Deluxe suites there and I am totally content with the Superior (cheaper) option. Metropole has a much better pool but staying at the Renaissance gives you access to that as another BM pointed out.

The thing that wins it for me at the Renaissance is the wi-fi strength (almost non-existent at Metropole) and the customer service which shits all over the service at Metropole in my experience. I made a number of reasonable requests during my stay at the Metropole (for e.g. repairing a couple lights in the bathroom, checking the water when there was no hot water, fixing the tv when it lost signal etc.) and each time they sighed as if they are doing me a huge favour. So I would say if either of these matter for you then stay at the Renaissance

I stayed at LK Ren at the end of April in the deluxe room that was nice however there was no hot water. The spa bath was unusable without hot water

and having cold shower was unacceptable, the issue wasn't resolved when I asked them to fix it so I checked out after 2 nights,

can't say I'll be rushing back!!!

I stayed a week in LK Renaissance in December and actually it dit not "do it" for me. The rooms are very nice indeed, no problem with that. My issues were with the public areas of the hotel, specially the pool and the sun deck. It was dirty around the pool and things floating in the pool (sigarette bums etc). Plates of leftover food were lying around the pool area, and they must have been there for days as the flies and insects were quite happy there...

So, all in all, I like the hotels I stay in to be clean and nice, specially if you are going to use the pool area and other facilities...

My best picks in Pattaya: Holiday Inn and Marriott Resort, the last one a bit pricy.

Take care!

I have stayed at Renaissance several times over the last 2 years (diffrent types of rooms), and once at Page 10 (I stayed in the Studio Deluxe).

Page 10 has better breakfast, and the hotel style is a little more modern, vs Renaissance´s more classic. Page 10 is a little newer.

Page 10 staff, when I was there in February 2011, had quite limited English but otherwise helpful. I do remember that when I asked for extra towels at Page 10 (had two girls visiting :) they refused at first (never any problems about this at LK Ren).

LK Ren can be a bit loud at nights if you have rooms on the front side, were the bars are. If I remember correctly all Superior and Deluxe rooms are on the backside, which is very quite. All rooms at LK Ren have jacuzzi bathtub.

Page 10 bathroom have one serious problem, the shower was really oddly designed, and water always overflooded in the shower area.

Location wise, there is not much in the area arround Page 10, but you are closer to Beach Road for free-lance pickups compared to LK Ren. In LK Ren area there are now quite a few bars, go-go.s, Lolitas and Devil's Den (a personal favourite).

In Ren only the Deluxe rooms and above have a seperate walk in shower cabinette, in addition to the shower in the tub.

Cannot comment too much on the pool area in Ren, since I did not use it that often, but when I was there it was clean.

To sum-up, I prefer LK Ren over Page 10, depending on if the price-diff is not too big.

Happy hunting...

First choice for me would be the Renaisance, but would not stay there at this moment in time because they are doIng good buisness and are charging full low season rates. Much better deals can be had else where , for example April Suites.

I prefer P10 over the Metropole because some of the Metropole rooms are showing they're age and it's a bit hit and miss which room you'll get when booking in advance.

As for cheap guest house options in the area Robins nestaurant is currently offering rooms for B390 per night minimum stay 1 week.

Since you're leaning towards Page10, you may want to consider SeaMe Spring, which is also on Soi 10.

Last April, I stayed in Page10 for a couple nights. Overall, it was pretty good, but I felt it was a little overpriced. The room and hotel had a nice modern appeal and breakfast was included. However, even though the hotel was fairly new, the furniture in my room looked a bit worn. The bathroom looked pretty cool, but the design of the shower didn't quite work. Similar to what daimen mentioned, the large shower area didn't drain quickly, so it would flood to the sink area if I took too long. Pools of water would sit on the shower floor for several hours which made it slippery in some spots. Also, there was no shower door, so it was easy to splash water outside the shower area. The room wasn't very clean around the corners of the tables and floor, but not too bad. Shower aside, I liked the place and didn't have any problems with noise.

I noticed SeaMe Spring down the street, so I walked there and got the mid-priced room for a night. It was still a little cheaper than Page10. The pics from their website accurately depict the room. It felt cleaner and had no problems with the bathroom. Wifi worked better for me than Page10. I ended up staying there for the rest of my trip (three more nights).

I stayed in LK Ren last april/may and booked this hotel again for my next trip this summer....

I highly recommend it. Nice hotel, very very nice location (soi Diana, bar in front of the hotel, Familly Mart very close, BJ bar Lollitas : 5 minutes by walking, Pool, bars and Champagne Agogo very near : open from 2pm...), what you need more dude ? GoldenSmile1.gif.

A nice restaurant at the corner with 2nd Road/Soi Diana (Kiss)

You have a jacuzzi and balcony in all rooms, no fee for girl, free internet, swimming pool at the 3rd floor.... everything is perfect.

Cheers

Cheers.

OK guys

Thought I would go on a mission today - and look at the two LK hotels - am already staying @ Page 10

I discounted Renaissance straight away - the pool looks like a pond

The Metro is another story - they are up for deals at the moment as long as you are staying a reasonable amount of time

There are negatives and positives -

negs - damp and the smell to go with it - in certain hallways, the pool is at the front of the hotel as you walk in on your right - very funny place to locate it - and its not really a lengths pool if you get my drift. Trip Advisor cites lots of other negs

Metro charges 500 per girl for any more than one girl per day

pos - very grand, some huge rooms and good deals in low season, great location, back from the road so the noise does not seem an issue.

Page 10 - is a Boutique hotel so really we are not comparing like for like with the other 2 - plus its a lot closer to Beach Road - location is marginally better than the other two, modern hotel, the pool and pool bar beats the other 2 hands down, the food is in the pool bar is excellent and cheap - has noisy beer bar opposite but if you are mongering and unless you are a lightr sleeper and go to bed before 2am it will not bother you. The management can do nothing about it unless they want a 'visit' if you know what I mean.

Zero joiner fees @ Page 10 - a guy from Newcastle who stayed here last week brought 5 different girls in - in one day asked for 5 towels and not a word from the hotel

the finishing of the hotel is slapdash they have a large snagging list but nothing that affects your stay, they do have deals on offer and better to negotiate direct. Once again Trip Advisor cites other cons.

If I had to choose as it stands at the moment if I want to spend around 1600-1900 I would go to Page 10 if my budget is higher and I want something grander I would stay at Metro.

I have taken it upon myself to try and arrange a deal for PA Members to get a Special Discount @ Page 10 and will post details in the future.

I would still be interested if there are any other hotels in this approx area (specifically) that people want me to look at - or that they feel can compete with these hotels taking into account all the common requirements we have.

Just not long ago had a 10 days stay at the Metropole. All in all a very nice hotel....

I would stay again, but a few negatives imo;

The bed ends up half way across the room when shagging...

The noisiest aircon i have ever know ( although may have just been my room )

A pathetically slow internet connection

And the reception are not arsed at all about taking the girls id. At night they don't even look up when you walk in with a girl, basically up to you to the the girl up to the reception desk.

I do much prefer the Areca.

Ok I have spent the last 17 days at Page 10 stayed in three different rooms - standard was clean but to small for my tast - junior suite was just a stupid layout - and then crown suite very big and I really loved the layout but the noise from the beer bars live music has driven me out it finishes at 2 in the morning and drove me mad , I love the staff and management a, pool area was great food very good if they can do something about the noise I would stay there again .

So where to stay now , I got up early walked Soi Metro with the idea to stay at one of the LKs started with LK Metro two room suite was a good price 2700 Bt on 2d floor the hallway had a smell of dampness and the suite had a strange smell to , had a look on the 8th floor but looked a bit dull .

Feeling a bit down I took myself down the road to LK Renaissance nice reception and very pretty girl on the desk with my spirits on the up she offerd me a delux suite on the 3d floor two large rooms kitchen great bathroom with same hot tub as Page 10 and a big pluss walk out of the door strait onto the pool area I'm now feeling so much better so for me this hotel comes out top I hope I didn't ramble on to much and helps you guys
