Only 1 gogo in Jomtien if I remember correctly. Not as good as patts for a night out but worth a try.

There is a newish beer bar complex on the other side of the new road, I think you can access it if you walk to the end of soi 7.

No 1 agogo nearby - presumably called this 'cos it's the only one. Watch out for the lady drinks, someone thought I would be daft / drunk enough to pay 230 baht for one!

We do Jomtien about 3-4 times a year for holiday. Thats me my thai wife and thai daughter. I like it because its laid-back but Pattaya at night is only 15 mins by baht bus, or less on motocycle taxi.

But the bars are fairly relaxed affairs. Soi 5 has a few. Waow Bar and a few others on Thapraya Road leading into Jomtien Beach have some decent looking girls.

Dont worry about that go-go, head straight to Soi 15 Walking Street.

If you are mainly going for night time action, I would suggest stay in Pattaya.

Adam, I made the stupid mistake of booking and staying at Jomtien in December/ January for 3 weeks. :o

Could not tell you which are the best bars/ nightlife as I could not find anything near as good as most in Pattaya, so spent many a trip from Jomtien/Pattaya return. :o

Waste of time IMO to go there, so unless you have a specific reason for wanting to go there, my advice would be to go where the majority go. There is a reason for this I found out. :Party1:

Jomtien is as far as I know not the place if you want a Go Go. We visited the one across the street from Country Road near the beach... sad girls dancing and looking like they really hated their life. We just stopped for a drink to check out the place as we had walked pass it too many times - and when we come back, we will keep walking right by.

But..next year as the times before, we will book a hotel in Jomtien ...and probably spend some time in the bars there earlier in the evening. Some days it feels a bit good to have the bars mostly to our self, and for this Jomtien is not bad at all:)

I've stayed in Jomtien and Pattaya and I like the quite atmosphere of the former. And as someone said "it's not far by baht bus to Pattaya"

It is a funny town Pattaya. You can walk into a bar one night and the girls are shit and go another night and there can be a pretty lady that takes your fancy. I was in No1 agogo the other night and they had 2 very pretty young girls. I have hooked up with one of them a bit since.

I agree that number 1 agogo is not the best and many of the girls not so pretty. There is plenty of hands on if you want it and you can get a bj in the corner from some of the girls. ST upstairs 700 bht.

I live in Jomtien and go to the bars there a bit. It is nice and low key. The bar complex near the markets has some pretty girls and the bars are a lot of fun. I just like that it is low key. i currently "go" with a girl that I met in a BB in Jomtien over a year ago and she would be a stand out in Pattaya as well.

I remember shagging a gal upstairs in the no 1 gogo. Can't remember what I paid as I was pretty schwacked lol... however the accomodation upstairs is by no means 4 star and the gals as well...

Just hit a few beer bars in Jomtien as you'll find a few good lookers in the complex opposite talay 1

There is only 1 gogo in Jomtien, on Thappraya Rd. accross from Jomtien Complex before you get to Beach Road.

There are a number of bar areas that are ok. I like "Soi White House", a dead-end soi located between sois 7 and 8 Jomtien Beach Rd. There a a reasonable number of girls (who won't harrass you for drinks), and prices are reasonable. There's a Finnish-owned bar a little up on the right (Heisenhut or something like that) which has a pretty good lineup at the moment.

The bar complex at Rampho Market just off of Jomtien 2nd rd. across from Immigration are also good. Jane Bar is one of my favorites here. Decent music which is played at a reasonable volume, and 2 TVs to watch football. And Asahi light beer for only 50 baht.

But as other members suggest, this is not the place to stay if you want to be hanging out in gogo bars every day. But if you want to relax by the beach during the day, and have a few beers at night, not a bad option.

I have sung the praises before about No1 gogo, but I have not been in for months, impossible to get a decent beer, the draught is flat and tasteless, the bottles come out frozen, or have been frozen, and taste bitter.

Actually the place is depressing late at night with few customers, and drunk girls. Barfine is B1000

Number 1 go go in jomtien gets my custom about once a year when the drinking crew say come on " lets give it another try " I expect it to be awful and it never lets me down .

Saying that , there are some fun , well run bars in Jomtien for a quieter evening than Pattaya central .

There's a really good bar called Mama's Bar, the second bar on the left up Soi Whitehouse just off Jomtien Beach Road, free pool, friendly staff etc. Think an english guy owns it, we're made to feel very welcome always.

I visited the Jomtien complex on second road next to the market last trip and to be honest wasn't too impressed with the quality of the girls. They were however all quite friendly so had a good time chatting to them and playing pool.

I went to Jane's bar ( popular with locals, cheapest drink there I believe) Don't Tell Mamas (live band, pool table and friendly bar staff and customers) and a few others whose names I can't remember.

As previously posted it's good for a laid back night but cetainly does not compare to the "action" in Patts. More an older crowd ( like myself) populate Jomtien so quite easy to have a decent conversation and a few drinks.

I'm moving to Jomtien December 1st and hope to be able to visit many of the local haunts and post regarding my observations :)
