Just curious what you were quoted for a pre-paid cab?

If you want to save a few $$$ i found this on another board:

I just wanted everyone to know about a great bus service by Transport Co. Ltd. from the new airport to Pattaya for 106 baht. They leave daily at 0630, 0900, 1300, 1700, 2030. The bus is fairly new and it was a pleasant trip without hassle. Their BKK# is 02-1344099 and PTY# is 038-231142.

Catch a free shuttle bus from the outside as you exit and it will drop you off at the bus station(5 min.) and buy the ticket at the window that says "Pattaya". Very easy process and it was well worth it. And it only took 1 hour 45 minutes to Pattaya. It dropped me off at Central Road where I wanted.

RRC bus (BKK#02-747-4675, PTY#038-370-055) also has bus service to Pattaya that is also good at 106 baht @ 0800, 1100, 1500, 1900. Their window booth is right next to Transport Co's window. And you can also go from Pattaya to Airport with these 2 bus companies.

Bell and RRC is same company. RRC provide the bus and Bell provide the total package including the van to drop off the passengers to their hotels, thus 150 baht total price. The bus is only 106 baht and 44 baht for van service.

I just did the Airport to Pattaya run with Bell Travel (150 baht). Made a reservation in advance by e-mail, found their agent on the first floor of Suvarnabhumi upon arrival, rode a van from the terminal out to the Bang Na-Trat Highway where we all transferred to a regular bus on the side of the road (kinda weird), they took us to the Pattaya North bus station and transferred passengers back to smaller vans for delivery to hotels. A decent service, you don't have to shuttle out to the public transport center but on the other hand, you still had to make the transfer from the van to the regular bus.

The email address for the bus service is rrc_bus@hotmail.com. When I took it in March this year I was told they have a bus at 8am, 10, 12, 14, 16, 18pm. Great service, cheap and fast. I took the 18:00 bus and was in my hotel room on Soi 7 at around 7.45ish

  • 2 weeks later...

I think that is a good price, amd yes it would be nice to share it with some-one you know but not a stranger. But that just me, I never skimp on my time in Thailand, either with drinks, girls or others, after all it is a holiday.

If I was trying to save on anything it would be a decent hotel at a good price, you can get at least 200 baht a night cheaper without lost of facilities or location, just shop around.

    • For those that don't know, I did Friday meetings before many years ago,  I feel like we are missing a regular meeting for members,  I am aware guys meet at PA affiliated bars. But I want to start meeting people again, I'm inviting the guys following my YouTube also.

The meetings is a chance to get to meet each other,  I plan to be at every meeting, I also have Dean from Dive bar that has offered to help out with a crawl after.
The meetings will be  Monday  6 pm - 8 pm each week.  (The improvised bar crawl will commence at 8 p.m.  Dean will make his own plans for that.)

Due to low numbers of people in town, I will start the meetings in our bars to help our girls and managers, please check back often incase things are changed.  I will be sharing the love around town later, but Soi 6 is first on my list (including bars that are friendly competition)
If bar owners want us to have a meeting at their bar,  they need to have a minimum of 10 girls.  I'm not dragging people to empty bars for favours.
Please help us invite other members, it takes a while to get momentum.
Monday 6 pm - 8pm  (then bar crawl after)
      21st March - Playpen Soi 6

25th April -  (next bar we have open)

2nd May - (next bar we have open)
      9th May - Cooters bar soi 6
16th May - Hot shots bar Soi 6
23rd May - (next bar we have open)
      30th of May - Lust soi 6
      6th of June - Illuzion

I look forward to meeting people again.
