Sunday is getting closer and I'm looking forward to Everton's game at Chelsea. I might just go the pub and watch the game. In my younger day's I followed Everton all around the country. I mainly went to the away games by coach.  And being a football fan I always hoped we get to ou destination early and go to a pub for a beer and have a chat with the home fans.  This was not always possible because back then hooliganism was rife.

I remember once going to Chelsea and me and my mate went by soccer special train from Lime Street.  Years ago British Rail used to run a 500 seater soccer special every Saturday to away games. So one Saturday it would go to an Everton away game and then the following Saturday it would go to a Liverpool away game.

Anyway this particular Saturday the train went from Lime Street to Euston and then we had to make our way to Fulham Broadway on the underground.  Fulham Broadway was the station local to Chelsea's ground.  We got there late so we couldnt go for a beer outside the ground.  So we went straight inside Stamford Bridge.  After the game we got escorted back to the underground station and me and my mate were at the front of the 500 Everton fans. At the underground station only I few of us Evertonians managed to get on the underground train. This was because the train was already fairly full of London commuters.  Anyway we only managed to get to 2 train stations along the line when we heard 200+ Chelsea fans running down the platform chanting Chelsea. Needless to say us Evertonians were outnumbered and got a good kicking before the police arrived. Us Evertonians were then made to walk back to Euston.  The other Everton fans who got on later underground trains got back to Euston before us.

The following season I went to Chelsea by coach and had no problems but the Chelsea fans decided to try and ambush (again) the Everton fans who traveled by soccer special train on the same underground platform. This time the Everton fans were ready for them.  They (500) all managed to get on the first underground train and this time gave the Chelsea fans a kicking

Today Chelsea played well and we were very poor.

I think today was a reality check for our new manager.

He will know what he has to do to improve our squad

Football has been suspended

Which is only right because of the virus

BUT

At the same time I was looking forward to Monday nights home game against Liverpool

Football is not important anymore , as Klopp rightfully said . The world is in danger now . We must concentrate on our fight against Coronavirus. Be safe People . As a Man United fan , I’m now a fan of Klopp , very impressive of his speech ( below ) .
