Hi Guys,

As I don't see any threads on Kilkenny guesthouse on LK Metro, are there anyone who stayed there before can provide with any kind of info?

Or probably some kind of reviews? Thanks in advance! Cheers!

I hope life isn't a big joke, because I don't get it.

hi, i have stayed at the kilkenny. it was last october and it has since changed hands, but that said i thoroughly enjoyed my stay there. because of low season i got a great price on the top floor massive room with had a very large bed, balcony looking down both sides of the soi. aircon worked great as did the showers. tv and dvd player, fridge and a sofa which came in very handy and was greatly why i decided to stay here. the menu had an ample selection of dishes(thai/farang) and the breakfasts were amazing. free pool in the bar(the chef was the best player) which the girls are always up for a game. safe in room also. met some nice lads that used the kilkenny as their base.

now I dont know how the menu is and if the same girls are still there but im heading back in october and this will be the first place i try to get a room in. for some reason this guesthouse/bar seems to get overlooked and if the owner is a BM(pretty sure he/she is) then I would personally try harder to promote the place like the other guesthouse/bar owners in the soi as LK Metro is a great area to stay and drink in.

Hi Frankstain,

Yes Kilkenny has changed hands since your stay. We've kept nearly all the staff and added a few more since then. We've spent a bit of money on the rooms also. All new bedding and linen. Aoy is still in the kitchen and always ready for a game of pool (unless she's cooking that is). As for promoting the bar and rooms on PA you're right about that. So I've taken your advise and come up with a promotion for all PA members to come and stay @ Kilkenny and receive either a 750 baht or 1200 baht voucher for Champagne Agogo which has the same owners.

Hopefully we see you again and would appreciate any feedback.

Cheers.

Is Kilkenny still open 24 hours. Last time I was walking by late at night, the gates were down and the place was closed for the night.

Hi Gilligan,

No we usually close between 2 and 3am. We're open again at 8am!!

There are a few bars that stay open later in the Soi for those that like a late drink.

hi, thanks for the reply and for taking on board some of things i said. As for feedback a quick 2 things. i had the big room upstairs(44?) and i found a light/lamp near the bed would come in handy. having a low light source to help the girls feel a bit more comfortable when in the nude would be very handy. i got over this by leaving the bathroom light on but it would just be easier to have a lamp close by.

the other is i think you need more photo's of the rooms on here and the website just to add detail and content. hope this helps.

hows bookings for october looking and do you still have sofa's in the rooms? cheers

I hope life isn't a big joke, because I don't get it.

We only offer that service to the customers that request it. We can take photo copies of the ID cards for you as a precaution which I recommend though saying that we've never had one problem with customers and their ladies.

Hi Ray,

The breakfasts are good. Let me know your dates and I'll have any extra cook or two ready for the 13 of you!! I have to admit the bacon is not the same as we're used to back home but ours is better than most here.
