normal baht buses are 10baht per person, however if you hire one specifically for yourself the prices are negotiated between yourself & driver

You got hustled then, a scooter would've got you there quicker for 40 baht

40 baht most places in Pattaya on a bike, more past 3rd rd etc

10 baht on a multi-occupied tuk tuk

Or Falang 'good heart' price if you rent it privately - hence your 200 baht

You can rent a bike for the day 150 baht

Check your insurance more importantly ....the clause usually goes along the lines of you need the appropriate and valid licence for the type of vehicle that you hire to be covered by your insurance.....the guys that hire the bikes out are happy to have your Passport not so concerned about licence....

Most travel insurance won't vover you for bikes over 125cc.

None will cover you if you haven't the appropriate licence.

Depending on countries, car licence enables 50cc or 125cc driving.

If you have an accident at the red light, you'll have to pay heavy moeny.

If you have an accident at the green light, you should have been more carefull before getting in the trafic, so you'll have to pay heavy money.

If you have a driving licence, it is not a Thai licence, so you'll have to pay

If you haven't a driving licence, you'll have to pay...

See whant I mean ?

Pattaya Bay Resort has a free service that will get you to within easy walking distance of Walking Street. Ask at reception and they will organise it for you. You can use it on the way back if you have their phone number but it is easier to get a baht bus (for 10 Baht) to The Avenue and walk through to the hotel.

Yeah that's all well and good but live on the edge a little ey?

This is Pattaya man aren't we all a bit dangerous?

There's nothing quite like Pattaya roads, personally I love the more-of-a-less no rules situation they have on their roads

No-one is asking you to go fast, and they are not hard to drive

..until you have an accident and end up not working for 3 months will recuperating, losing part of a finger or dead. I know people who have suffered these 3 incidents. At least two of them were through no fault of theirs.

I witnessed a motorbike taxi driver very nearly get cleaned up a couple of days ago. We were waiting at a set of traffic lights. All the traffic from the right had stopped for a short while and our light went green. As normal we all took off. The motor bike was in a little in front of me and to the right. All of a sudden a car came from the right. I can still see vividly an older women passenger holding up her hands in fear of the oncoming cars. If the motorbike taxi hadn't of pulled to the left in from of me he would have been cleaned up by that car. If I hadn't of been quick on the breaks I would have cleaned him up. It doesn't matter how slowly or carefully you ride there will always be one idiot that you may not see until it is too late.

Can anyone suggest me how much to pay tuktuk from Pattaya Bay Hotel to Walking Street. I got charged around 200 bhat from My Hotel to Walking Street. do you guys pay the same amount for this little distance?

To come back to your original question: Probably a lot!! There are hardly any TukTuks in Pattaya.

The main means of transport in Pattaya are bahtbusses (SongTeaw) or motorbike taxi's.

Lol this reminds me of 1 time when i was riding a bahtbus from Jomtien to Pattaya. It was already almost full when two 40-50 year old russian ladies flagged it down. They asked to the people sitting in the back "Zis TukTuk?", to which i replied No, Songtaew. They looked puzled and decided that they only wanted a Tuktuk and let us drive off. I know, being a bad boy and costing the driver another 20 baht (although we filled to the max a couple of hundred meters later), but couldn't resist.

    • For those that don't know, I did Friday meetings before many years ago,  I feel like we are missing a regular meeting for members,  I am aware guys meet at PA affiliated bars. But I want to start meeting people again, I'm inviting the guys following my YouTube also.

The meetings is a chance to get to meet each other,  I plan to be at every meeting, I also have Dean from Dive bar that has offered to help out with a crawl after.
The meetings will be  Monday  6 pm - 8 pm each week.  (The improvised bar crawl will commence at 8 p.m.  Dean will make his own plans for that.)

Due to low numbers of people in town, I will start the meetings in our bars to help our girls and managers, please check back often incase things are changed.  I will be sharing the love around town later, but Soi 6 is first on my list (including bars that are friendly competition)
If bar owners want us to have a meeting at their bar,  they need to have a minimum of 10 girls.  I'm not dragging people to empty bars for favours.
Please help us invite other members, it takes a while to get momentum.
Monday 6 pm - 8pm  (then bar crawl after)
      21st March - Playpen Soi 6

18th April - where angels play Soi 6
25th April -  (next bar we have open)

2nd May - (next bar we have open)
      9th May - Cooters bar soi 6
16th May - Hot shots bar Soi 6
23rd May - (next bar we have open)
      30th of May - Lust soi 6

I look forward to meeting people again.
