Why does Gulf Air not offer first class service or at least lay down seats to/from Manila?

 

Sure, they have a nice plane to Thailand...but thats and even shorter route.

 

Just tired of being a second class citizen just because I'm traveling from Manila.

From Manila, there are only two arilines that fly direct to Bangkok,

 

One is Thai Air and the other is Philippines Air.

 

Neither offer first class...

 

The only airline that flies overnight from Dubai and lands you in Manila early enough in the morning to make a ferry is Gulf...Emirates arrives late in the day.

 

Gulf Air refuses to offer first class to Manila.

 

Same to/from Thailand

 

So I still hate Gulf Air.

 

That and they use the oldest planes for the routes to/from Manila and only sometimes on the Thai route.

 

And finally, why wont they print the list of wines for sale at their Duty Free in Bahrain...the real reason I fly them. You cant get a genuine bottle of french anything in Manila or Pattaya.

I've always travelled economy and found the french wines to be ok. Then again, what you've never had, you never miss.

 

Wouldn't mind flying First Class just for the experience though. Maybe too much to ask for a second class citizen.

Just flew them from Madras to Bahrain. 5 hours and no entertainment of any kind. Food was average. Other flights were better but still rough.

My added sting here is to make one point & that is if some guy was a real big shoot he would not fly with Gulf Air any way.

 

The boys who are upscale in the Arabian part of the world fly with Emirates, Qatar & Ethihad Airways & Gulf Air is the Dan Air of the Persian Gulf.

Get over yourself mate, Flight time is about 3 hours so no need to whinge about not having 'lay down seats'. And whilst your at it, stop being 'angry with Gulf Air' as neither Thai or Phillipine airlines have First Class on this route. So, Build a bridge and get over it.

 

For someone "StuckInIraq" I thought you'd have bigger problems in life. I'd suggest the name "IraqIsStuckWithMe" is probably a more appropriate name
