Motocross and Muay Thai

Hey guys, wondering about some places to buy moto X gear, like boots and pants. I saw some at the Thepassit Market last week, but the kiosk wasn't there this weekend.

 

Also, looking for goo Muay Thai gear. Gloves and shorts mostly, I've only seen the stuff available at Tony's Muay Thai, not much selection and just doing a little shopping around.

 

In Pattaya would be nice, but I'm going to Bangkok in a week so suggestions there are good too.

SOM is definitely closed, drove around with a pissed of TGF for an hour trying to find it. Called the number and it was to a hotel or a bathroom.

An aussie from singapore was behind it as far as i knew.?

 

No promotion and no stock of bikes probably sealed its fate.

 

Shame, I bought my bike from Soms brother out of the shop and went to a few races with them.

 

One time we had to do a detour to pick up Soms mia noi, who woulds come to the races whilst

his wife would stay and watch the shop.

 

Nice set up, with a good sized show room and workshop behind.

 

I hate to see these things fold but someone has to be really

on the ball to keep the cash flow up in such a small market.

That's too bad, I was really hoping to pick up some accessories for my bikes back home, or at least price it out. Exhausts, clutch kits, PCIII's, nothing is cheap back home.

 

When I called and tried to ask if it was SOM, we kept getting interrupted by what sounded like someone flushing a toilet! My girl talked to her and she said it was a hotel, but I don't believe her. Can't trust TG's!

Oh, she would've been miserable either way, she's not too fond of my erratic driving. Apparently someone made all the damn roads in Thailand backwards!

they had a track not far from SOM motorcycles, a supercross track

think they had a race there, i wasnt around then

no idea if its still there.

 

they hold races all over the place, they will just make a track on a bit of land

and run a meeting, usually a pretty crap track,

but its mx racing and you take what you can get here.

 

there are good tracks around but not many.

Ah nice to know, i don't do motocross now(too old for that, just some trails) but nice to see some races though.

 

Much respect for Reedy running a production bike against the top guys, but i just like RV, he should have won it last year, damn! it's 9 points between the top 4 riders with just a couple of races to go! Such a tight race rather then the GOAT leaving 2nd place behind 30points year after year.

some stuck some not, super hot and humid, like Soi 6 room with no airco, a greasy track more slippery than 6 girl who been creampied and your there second....

But those damn girls in pattaya suck me dry(wallet and nuts) everytime i go there.

 

Jcayabo, fairtex pattaya has some good quality Muay Thai gear but they are expensive. I got one free shorts and tshirt when one of their trainers, Chai came to singapore to work in a MT gym but of course i bought him beers after training. They are good quality.

No shame just showing that stuff is going on in thailand, you meet some great thai guys who have a bit of money, which it pretty rare and difficult generally, spent many many days sorting the bikes, racing, riding and drinking/eating afterwards. s

Some of these guys are always up for jokes and pranks funny as fck too, AND the pricks have stunning and gracious wives like you have never met!

 

yes 2002 rm250 haha yeah i'd get laughed of the track if i turned up with 4 plastered over my bike in oz,

fast i am but a long long way from goat but this is los.

 

agreed fairtex is one of the best going for muay, i dont do it, yet
