Hi Thinking of splitting our accomodation this year, especially as Summer Spring has put up prices[have got confirmed old rate on email???] and want to try Sabai Empress at top of soi 1 2nd road.

Web prices vary-hotel direct the most expensive-but what about walk in prices-often will do a deal.

Anybody with any up to date info

thanks

Quit a few threads on the subject but generally walk in is the most expensive if you don't have very god negotiation skills and there will be someone with autohrity to grant you a discount. IMO best booking in advance

Their prices keep going up. When I checked a month ago it was 1450 for the standard deluxe room

and 1650 for the corner rooms which are bigger.

I would NOT recommend Sabai empress.Beds are made out of stone.Walls are paper thin.

It takes 5 minutes for water to get luke warm .You can hear everything what other people are doing.

The only saving grace is that this hotel has some nice decor and rooms fresh.

I always call to get the best prices or email them.

The empress corner is a nice room, really big. Low season price was 1650 a night last summer.

Yes the walls are somewhat thin. There was a crazy Arab next to me yelling and fighting on his phone I called the front desk and they came and had him keep the noise down.

I think the room is worth it. I am planning on staying there again May-June 20011.

So, no different from most other Pattaya hotels then ? I didn't have any problems with water temperature when I stayed in November. I found the place reasonable for the money and well-located for soapies, Big C, Baht-buses... My only real gripe would be the pool area - the loungers are too heavy to move and towels are in short supply.

Try Mikes Orchid Resort in Soi 4.... Just down the road, No Joiners and I just tell them they usually give me a room for 1300 and they say OK...Good rooms, good pool

There are some that only employ words for the purpose of disguising their thoughts.
