STD check-up

Guys,

 

I appreciate I am a newbie, but back in Patts for 2nd time shortly ' or playing golf in Rayong' as everyone in the UK thinks.

 

All of us will party hard, but all of us want an STD test prior to departure. Cannot see myself walking into a hospital, so can you help with :

 

1. Which clinic, and I note earlier post's about the one near Coyotee's.

2. Do you just walk in and say you want an STD test.

3. Not worried about cost, but how much.

4. Do you get instant results, or do you come back next day.

5. If you have something, will they supply the drugs for same.

 

I have an oversea's property company, and we are buying some in Thailand, and if I come back with an STD, it will be pointless as I will not be able

to use them.

 

Advice would be great.

Yes i referred to the one near Coyote's as one of the girls told me about it.

 

Walked in and told them i wanted to be checked for everything but there is a sign on the wall with all the costs for certain tests, couple mintues later i went into a room and the doc carried out the checks. Within no time at all i was told my results, i have no idea if they can issue out medication for every type of STD as i was given the all clear.

 

Its a quick and easy routine but still scared the shit out of me while i waited....

Like the UK, I presume if you have been unlucky, you will be able to get treatment.

 

Better to be scared in Thailand, than having to tell the missus that you have something and seeing her walk out of the door with half of the estate.

 

Still, what fun I could have with the other half. 8 months in the UK working, and 4 months in heaven.

Kadafi, not sure how they can test you for everything in a couple of minutes, especially HIV, I wouldn`t trust those finger prick things as far as i could throw them, best to get tested in the UK or one of the big hospitals in Pattaya, the wait is agonising, but when it comes back clear it one of the greatest feelings there is, Ive been there, trust me

For fuck sake. How many more times does this topic have to be beaten out? Yes, you can get a check up for STD's at thousands of clinics in the LOS. The results come quickly and the tests are cheap. But why would you go to the LOS and THEN get checked unless you had visible signs of an STD? If it did turn out you had one, you would have to have treatment and potentially put yourself out of mongering duty for a while. Go and get tested in your home country. Its not taboo at all. The people who test you couldn't give a fuck, its just a job. I am on first name terms with people at the clinic round my way. And for HIV, YOU HAVE TO BE TESTED 12 WEEKS AFTER YOU LAST HAD UNPROTECTED SEX TO BE 100% SURE YOU DON'T HAVE IT BECAUSE IT CAN TAKE THIS LONG TO DEVELOP THE ANTIBODIES. So if you go and be a naughty boy in the LOS, bite the bullet and wait 12 weeks then get your ass down the GUM clinic. Crazy thing is there is a Thai women at my local clinic who conducts the tests and we talk about my exploit in the LOS. She berates me. Its funny.
