Hello all, planning my november trip and bumped on the Lk Mansion website. I have been reading the other topic about this accomodation and everyone says you have to make sure you get a room in the main building above the reception. Any info why this is so important? And on top can anyone tell me if the rooms look like the one below I found on their website. Because at 645 baht weekly internet promotion rate they look great!

I booked one of these supposedly Deluxe Room, from the web severa weeks ago, hoping it would look like this and whilst there is a similarity, it doesn't loook anywhere near as nice. This picture shows the room as a 10 out of 10, whereas in real like it looks a 6 out of 10. Its also the condition/look of the Reception area and walking to the room itself, that leaves a disappointing taste in your mouth.

 

My suggestion to you is that if you can afford a 1000 Baht per night, look elsewhere at other options and you will have a much better holiday

 

 

On my other post I said,

 

Stayed there for a few days over the weekend. The room was in the supposedly one in the newer renovated building - the one above the Receptionist area

 

First impression as you walk into that Main Rceptionist Bulding,is that,the web entrance pictures are very kind (touched up) and its grubby and ordinary in real life

 

 

As for the Room,

Small (28m2) but clean and tidy

Side furniture and cupboards look a bit dated and not anywear near as good looking as the web page.

Same with the Room Decor - the web picture shows a much more attractive Decor than it really is in real life

Bathroom is clean and tidy and spacius (shower only no bath)and the only issue is that the shower water is warm (not hot) and the no hot water to the vanity tap

Bed is Queen size and comfortable - yes the bed is on castors, but juts wedge a timber chop stick in the castors and it doesn't move. Clean and tidy linen no complaints

TV is small 20inch, but good selection of channels

No safe box in the room itself, but there is a Safe Box Area down below on the ground floor opposite the Receptionist Desk Area and you get allocated one with your room

 

 

Overall- It's OK if your max budget is TB 800 per night - Rate it as a 6/7 out of 10, when compared to other similar 800 Baht per night rooms.

 

I have seen plenty worst and older looking for TB 800 and a few much better, but I would gladly pay a few more Baht and look around for one better next time.

 

Its a one time only stay for me at LK Mansions and I will move on and pay more elsewhere

Tell us how much you wish to spend a night, as there are places like Pasandena Lodge in LK Metro, http://www.hotelpasadenalodge.com/, where the rooms actually do look like their web pictures.

 

I have stayed in the Superior and Deluxe rooms at Pasadena and both are great, (the Delux is brilliant and big) plus the place is right in the action of LK Metro and Soi Diana and Soi Baukhow. If you are going after 01 May the rooms are TB 1000 and 1200 per night, respectively. No swimming pool, though.
