hello,

this year, I don't want to stay in pattaya for the last songkran day, It's not funny anymore for me.

so, I was thinking, take my motobike, drive to Ban Chang, stay one night an comme back to pattaya the day after

I wanted to know if the songkran day in Ban Chang isn't the same than in pattaya

and, if somebody can give me some informations about a good place to stay one night and of course about the bar.

thanks

Driving a motorbike during Songkran can be especially dangerous, I leave mine in the garage for the holiday and take the bus to Bangkok (stay dry shopping in the malls, can get wet in a soapy). Otherwise, I have ridden through Ban Chang once, but I didn't stop because it looked like a dump.

What make you think Ban Chang will be fun as it is not gonna be much

different from Pattaya . A lot of water , drunk farang and wet ladies .

i don't think ban chang is different from pattaya for songkran

I known that songkran is not at the same day in every town, so, i wanted to be in a place outside pattaya where songkran is finish. (only for the last day)

The world may be your oyster for one night in Ban Chang .......... or it may not.

However, it is not really a good plan for avoiding the mayhem of Songkran in Pattaya.

I'll go so far as to say that in the feckin-eejut-falang held enclaves of Pattaya, I doubt you'll spot much difference between the last day and several others.

To avoid Pattaya Songkran successfully, IME you need to think of being out from about 10th to 20th and you still won't be safe.

If you do stay the night in Ban Chang The Grand at about 500 Baht is as good as anywhere.

Grab your LT squeeze early on though. :GoldenSmile1:

Who would have thought that to escape Songkran all you had to do is go to Ban Chang? That'll teach all those stupid expats who leave the country during Songkran. :Oops1:

Ban chang only has one day on bar street for Songkran and one day in one of the residential areas a bit further up. It stops at 6pm and you dont get the stupid muscled wet fucks with the power pumps hitting you in the face with cold water and trying to blind you. It usually is between the 10 and 15 April, i will post the exact date when i know. We have some new bars here as well. We consider Ban chang best kept secret in Thailand but we are trying to change this. But we don't need diddlers here , so if you are one don't bother coming because you will be in for a suprise.

Ban Chang is safe, most bars clean and you can always find a party. something for nearly everyone.

Differance from Pattaya is that last year Songkran was nearly 10 days long. And in Ban Chang the girls are not called 'Buy me Drink'.

Loads of places to stay with price range from 300 to 500baht.

Some people love it here some hate it, but you won't know till you come.
