Friday discounts with Jetstar

Not sure if everyone knew this, so I thought that I will share it with Aussie travellers.

 

Jetstar sells discounted tickets between 17:00 and 20:00 every Friday. For example, I was looking for flights around Labour day to fly out of Melbourne on 10-Mar-11 and return on 20-Mar-11. During week the cost was coming to $800, but yesterday at around 18:00 same itinerary was available for $599.

 

So, it may be worth checking rate during this time.

but you've really got to put up with some shit flying Jetstar................Strategic are flying from both Melbourne and Brisbane direct Phuket, for around AU800 - have a special offer of 600 at moment. trying them out next week so might let the board know about service etc.

Good idea..thanks..I usually get a cheap flight on Tiger or AirAsia and Jetstar will beat the price... My last trip from perth to BKK was $406 inc taxes...I have just booked the same trip in April for $475.....see if I can beat these on friday Melbourne to Perth is only $98
