Just got up here in Perth Australia and flicked on the news. It looks horrific, many buildings down, current estimate 62 dead, 200+ still trapped inside buildings. Very hard to see the footage on TV, it feels so close to home somehow. I echo your sentiments, bless them all.

Sorry to hear the bad news today in New Zealand... 5,000 earthquakes every year, Most are little tremours, go Unannounced on world media and TV, Twice it had happened to New Zealand within a year.. I was reading a book about Earthquakes all over the world only yesterday and then Earthquakes happened ten hours later... Saw New Zealand a potential for earthquakes anytime but not to Australia.. The expert shows the plate of the world that is potential to the Earthquakes, West Usa and all the way down to west of south America , all across the south of europe such as Italy and spain .. Thailand is not into that danger zone.. Hope New Zealand will recover as quick as possible, But there will be aftershocks in few days time there, hopefully not... Seems that everycountry in the world is taking turns for the batterings, floods, earthquakes Etc... In Ireland last year , we had a worst floods ever seen, Lots of homes destroyed, expect even worst than that in years to come ... RIP to those who died in New Zealand and condolences to their love ones and the families..
