Thai logic sometimes eludes me and I am a totally ignorant farang but this whole thing reminds me a two children fighting over a toy. Neither child needs or wants the toy but they do not want the other to have it. I understand that neither country wants to loose territory but is 4.6 square KM really worth starting a shooting war (that appears to be the what PAD and NPP want)?

If PAD want a war with Cambodia over 4 square kms they had better go and get their pee shooters and head to the boarder. Although I can't see that happening.

PM denies truce signed

http://www.bangkokpost.com/lite/topstories/222638/pm-denies-truce-signed

"Foreign Minister Kasit Piromya said yesterday the proposed permanent ceasefire was unnecessary. Peace on the border could be achieved through existing bilateral mechanisms."

That has worked real well so far ....
