In all the years of going to Thailand I have always stayed in a hotel but for my trip in July I am thinking of booking a villa. Has anyone tried both and if so which is better.

I never thought about it till today when my boss was booking a villa in Florida and I saw the prices, he is paying is the same per week as I would for a trip to the Dusit but he has 3 bedrooms.

So I had a look at the prices and you can get a villa for a round £50 per night.

Are there downsides to hiring a villa hope someone who tried it can help.

It will be my 50th birthday in July so want a special time.
