Hi folks.

Im returning to Pattaya in March and have previously stayed at the Kerati Home stay Lodge, not too far from the Areca Lodge.

I'm looking around the web to source somewhere to stay and see the LK do a range of suites hotels etc etc.

Does anyone have any experience staying at any of these?

Opinions/reviews or other recommendations would be appreciated.

I like to stay somewhere not too dated or run down, a pool would be an advantage. Obviously no joiner fees/girl friendly and around 1500Bath.

Price not critical.

Also has anyone used Tim to book their hotels through?

Thanks

I always stay at LK Royal Suites when I visit Pattaya. It is located very centrally just down from the corner of Soi Buakaow and Central Road.

It has a range of accommodation styles from usual hotel size of about 25 sq mtrs I think, in a separate adjacemnt building, up to the one bedroom suites at 85 sq mtrs. I always have a one bedroom suite because I like the extra space. They are very luxuriously furnished and have TV in living room and also in bedroom. They are cleaned and sheets changed etc every day. Small balconies off each of the rooms, although the corner suites also have a large side balcony. Good bathroom and electronic safe and huge kitchen/meals area if you into that sort of thing. I always eat out, but the extra space adds to the overall feeling of size.

There is an adequate gym and swimming pool on the first floor, although I usually walk down to the beach and hire a deck chair, coz I like the cool sea breeze and also to watch all the activity going on around me.

There is an open sided restaurant on ground floor, which serves adequate but not great food. Better on the Thai dishes than European as you would imagine. They do make nice breakfasts ( English, American or German style ) at a cost of Th Bt 150. This can be included in the room rate, if you prefer. Breakfast is the only meal I have at the restaurant coz it's handy. I always have other meals out and about.

The traffic noise can be a little annoying from Soi Buakoaw at night when trying to sleep, but not a major issue. Last month I asked for a high floor suite ( Level 6 )facing the back of the hotel and you could hear a pin drop.

You can see the costs of the rooms from their website and Agoda etc. but I pay between th bt 2,500 and 3,000 per night including breakfast for a one bedroom suite, depending on the season. Some would think this is high, but I think at the end of the day you pay for the style of accommodation that you want and the one bedroom suites at LK Royal Suites is great accommodation.

Staff are friendly, particularly if you are towards them and no extra charge to have a guest spend the evening in your room.

I would thoroughly recommend LK Royal Suites, if it falls into your price range. Hope this helps but feel free to ask if there is any other particular information you would like to know about this hotel.

Thanks for the feedback.

Id posted this and then saw ticketholder review as well but all feedback is appreciated.

I tend to agree with you when it comes to accommodation but I've a newbie in tow and will have to run it past him if he wants to spend that much.

Thanks

I echo everything in this post as I stay there most trips and like the 1 bedroom. Note they have a studio (40 sq/mt) group of rooms across the alley next to the Family Mart and they are not as nice as the suites in the main building. Also stayed at Renaissance in a studio and liked it but for not much more money you can get the Royal Suite rooms which are very nice. I did an earlier post with pictures last fall. The only complaint from me is you must buy internet cards and you would think for their price it would be included. Royal Suites has a nice pool, 2 saunas and a weight room which I did not check out but looked nice.

Common sense is not very common.

Hi,

I have booked at the LK Mansion's on Soi Buakhao (junior Deluxe room which I think is just a standard). Has anyone recently stayed their and do you have any comment on the room quality and hotel itself.

Also do you her much noise from Soi Buakhoa at night?

The pictures on the LK web look great (but dont they always) and it appearsto have a reasonable looking pool area on the roof?

it depends which building you are in. the main building with reception below is very good, the others are just ok

the pictures of the pool make it look a lot better than it is

I can recomend the LK Pavilion just set off the corner of 3rd road and Pattaya tai

Fully decked rooms at B20,000 per 30 night stay plus electric and water or B30,000 for a 2 roomed suite with kitchen plus utilities which work out at around 3000 -5000 on top.
