Me and my son will be flying Eva Air from the UK for our forthcoming trip to fun town.

I will be choosing our seats in the next few days and was wondering if anyone has any views on the best seats on this flight.

The obvious best seats at the bulkheads wont be available for me to reserve on our fare class but legroom wont be an issue for us shorties.

The seat layout of the aircraft in economy is 3 3 3 except just in front of the toilet where it is 2 3 2.

I quite fancy the two seats in row 57 in front of the bogs for ease of access etc but am worried about how busy it gets around there with people waiting to take a piss.

I've looked at Seat Guru but there advice for this aircraft is plain wrong as their layout isn't correct

Any advise most welcome.

How about the ones in back or anything else that's available in 2 seats setup? Also a good idea to stay close to air hostesses with fingers crossed ;).

Yep, those look ideal but the back portion of the plane seem to be blocked from pre reservation, I guess ther're held back for check in passangers.

i would be 69/70 on either side, be careful of 71 backs on to the bulkhead and might not recline as much.

These seats will be snapped up early so get in quick.

Seats near toilets means queues/people loitering, seats in front of bulkheads usually means infants

I that case pick 57 before it's too late.

Don't choose 57 i had that in November, the seat doesn't recline very much. The plane will be full though guaranteed

I always like to choose a seat by the aisle (I'm a bit nearer to those beautiful Taiwanese hostesses!).

I'm only a shortie as well, so the row number doesn't really bother me.

Sitting very near to the toilets does have it's problems with people queuing from time to time.

Personally I get as close to the front as possible so I'm off the plane ASAP and go like fuck to get to passport control before the other couple of hundred people get off.

If you can get row 57 as soon as possible. Good seats for the two of you and when i was on the flight last jan,I found that most people waited on the other side of the toilets as more room. Rememeber you can Reserve your seats 100 days before departure with EVA.

Be well Dave

I like 54A myself but 57 would work as well.

They also start serving about row 50 or so and work back.

If you like seafood ad that as your special meal, and you get it first, and ask for 2 glasses of wine at the time the hostess asks you name to confirm your meal choice.

I prefer to an aisle seat in front of the motors as noise level is tend to be slightly more comfortable e.g row 6 :GoldenSmile1:

Come what may I've booked us into row 57, not to worried about the amount of recline and it seems like we have our own personel standing space with ease of getting in and out.

Still ages to wait but it's good to tick something else of the list.

Thanks for everyone views

If your flying Eva Air on a weekday you might want to check your flight because in October 2010 they were cancelling flights and re-scheduling passengers to maximise capacity.

Seriously, you pack your bag Sunday for a Monday departure to find that they have rescheduled you for a Wednesday. I guess thats why Eva are undercutting thai airways these days.

Didn't know they could do that! I would be furious, cutting 2 days off my holiday!!:NoNo3:

When flying an EU carrier at least there is a chance of finacial compensation for the delay. Lose of mongering can unfortunately not be insured

Hi all,

Eva air is a decent airline and ok value for money i have always found. Plus the air hostesses are belters! I am lucky enough to live in Taiwan at the moment and even tho i love LOS - generally the standard of birds here is way better. But is a matter of taste i suppose

I was reading an article yesterday about other airlines cutting the Tapei - Bangkok route as EVA is operating at below cost in order to fill up the planes and get some revenue on that leg of the journey.

Great airline, definitely my first choice when traveling to Thailand.

EVA Air always good LHR - BKK.

Direct is always best IMO.

And don't forget to order your salt and pepper. None was supplied last year when I flew with them LHR to BKK nor on the return flight. And some of the aisle seats have those big boxes that severely limit your legroom! I believe the plane was a Boeing 777.
