ONLY one solution...pay the mafia to tie the two guys responsible to chairs, cut off their balls and stuff them in their mouths...then, douse them with gasoline, set them ablaze and let them burn...and for good measure, spread a little fuel around so as to let the establishment burn to the ground as well...a good lesson to the farang owner...and the rest of the staff that just stood there and allowed it to happen.

 

OR, wait, just thought of a better solution...tie them to chairs, cut their balls off and stuff them in their mouths...I still like that part...but instead of burning them, simply behead them and then stick the heads on spikes in the men's bathroom urinal so everyone can piss on them for a week or so...talk about a good way to show them what "losing face" is really all about!

I'm sorry, but their is good and bad in every society, I personally feel that there is always more good people in every society than bad people, but you tend to get more troublesome people doing the unskilled labour and they are the people that tourists meet.

 

When I first came to Pattaya, I was stung by two Belgiums, its easy to start blaming whole nations, but every society has its trash.

 

TRUE, there are good and bad people in every nation. Not that I approve such an attack on anyone or that it is my business but i am sure that the Belgians didn't stung you for asking about your bill!

I can sum up multiple examples of how good hearted, sympathic, friendly, warm charatered ... some Thai men are, of which i have had the pleasure to meet and speak with. But for every good example i can give 10 examples of Thai men being not so friendly and understanding, to express my self cautios!

And i am pretty sure that most BM also have more negative experiences with Thai men as positive ones! So i think that my statement was pretty accurate and honest!

Ive not ever witnessed an attack like this in Thailand, but im not sure i could sit by & not intervene somehow.

The guy may have been drunk, 1st problem, he may have had too high a bill, its easy to say but never get into a confrontation with Thai's, boys or girls, go back when sober and see the owner, even if you have to make a call and explain, it will probably get dealt with properly.

Being drunk and disrespecting the staff especially guys has this likely outcome, it is rare but when ever it happens it involves drunken farang bad mouthing Thai folk and its a no no, even if you are right its a no no.

 

Be interested to know what happens if/when the owner finds out, if he is in town.

I completely disagree. Of course it is far easier to remember the negative experiences but if I trawl my brain for ALL the experiences then the benign and positive ones far outweigh the negative.

 

I can appreciate that Pattaya is different to Thailand in general though. The time I have stayed in Patts probably only adds up to about 10% of my total time in country yet has a significantly higher memory of negative Thai men experiences. Though even in Patts I think the positive ones still outweigh them. It's easy to forget the Thai man gogo greeter who cheerfully remembers me every time I arrive and makes space for my motorbike or the waiter or taxi bike guy. Even easier to forget the one off times of good service recieved for no money asked etc. The times you see someones skull caved in or you get stung financially automatically stay in the front of your mind for evolutionary reasons but are in my experience numerically far fewer.

I think I remeber (could be mistaken though)another thread about The Lock and Load Bar last year in which the BG's had some sort of do with a customer and a group of them followed him to his hotel where a fight broke out and the police were called and were present when the BG's "high heeled" the guy and did nothing! I am sure the bar owner is a BM on this forum and replied to the thread supporting the actions of his BG's! I went into the bar in Jan this year for a last beerski (with tirak)on the way home to Soi Boakaow late one night it was very busy due to the band playing but nothing special (tirak did not liked it so only one beerski), whilst we were there a customer with severe disabilities came in and the staff looked after him very good!

you are correct,but do you not think there are people in our country who would try to kiill you if needed.it is never about size,it is as you say.they may have no contemplation of acting out and causing serious injury as they already did.but they are not the onyl people who can have serious intent of calmly walking up and into damage.as i wrote before earlyer in this thread.

Too true and the percentage of punters who visit Pattaya and who also read these forums is infinitesiminal. What's more the type of punter who visit New Plaza, the Soi in which Lock and Load is to be found are usually the more mature fellows who are generally unfamiliar with computers and the internet. A Swedish chum of mine is a a regular in this bar and when I asked him about the incident it was the first he'd heard of it!
