Bus Crash, Ban Chang.

Recommended Posts

Posted (edited)

About an hour ago I was waiting for my driver and seen this horrific accident in Ban Chang. A bus loaded to the rafters hit a piece of wet road, slammed on his brakes and done a full 360. It turned over and went skidding down Sukhumvit knocking lampposts over, fuck knows how many are dead or injured. My heart goes out to them all.

Saw the bus on the side about 11am.

What time did it happen?

Which way was the bus going?

Seemed lucky no other vehicles or pedestrians were involved.

Had rain for the first time in weeks that night, so the roads are extra slippery.

Hope there weren't any fatalities.

I use them on occasion but people wonder why I prefer a motocy to a bus, here is just one reason.

Haha, you have to be kidding! A motocy safer than a bus? That's a good one :LMAO1:

For me, it is to a point, as my life is in my own hands, on a bus not at all.

I've been on buses doing 140ks at night in the rain on dangerous roads, that scares the crap out of me.

This crash happened in daylight(i think), in a small city where speeds should be lower, on a straight

section of 3 or 4 lane main rd.

Of course we dont know what triggered it so it could easily been the actions of someone else.

Just done 1500ks in 4 day on a bike and have been on bikes for 35 yrs.

For those with little experience its different.

cheers

sorry i also can't agree that a motorcycle is safer than a bus how many people in Thailand do you know that have been injured or worse on a motorcycle? I know a lot of them but no one that had been in a bus accident. Road safety needs to improve in Thailand for sure.

I've never been in an accident on a bus.

On the other hand, as you know.................

Oh - been on (and off) bikes for over 40 years up to 1200cc. :ShitHappens1: and is much more likely to on a bike. :Circle_Sharks:

You did read

"For me"

at the start of my post

and

"For those with little experience it is different"

at the end?

I think that speaks for itself in regards to what I posted.

Fact is, it is more than likely many passengers have been hurt or killed in 1 bus crash

of which none were at fault or could have had any control over the situation.
