Im going back to pattaya in march or april for 25 days ish and im on the hunt for a good deal on direct flights from LHR. Managed to find some with eva air for around £550 direct and im sure i can find some cheaper with a bit of time. Im sure a few people have come across this site http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/travel/cheap-flights#scrapers . Im going to try find the cheapest flight i can with it. Thought i would post on here as it may be usefull reading for others as theres some good info on there thats well worth a read, and theres also a ton of other money saving tips on there, awsome site.

If anyone finds any good deals or promotions for march or april on direct flights please let me know and post them in here. Only direct please!!!!

Update. Been using the skyscanner page http://www.skyscanner.net/ and found flights for £262 each way which adds up to £524. The great thing about skyscanner is you can scan for the whole year or month and dont need a particular date. Just click on the calender for departing and arrival dates and select view whole year or view whole month. I think this little feature is invaluble to those who are flexable and can save quite a bit of money.

when i was looking last year i found EVA was £550 about may(ish) for a flight in october. 4 weeks later i booked a mate a flight but it had gone to £500. I think for a direct flight this will be as low as it could go. I believe you have got a good price unless you are willing to do stop overs or on a strict budget.

I fly out on March 18th and I booked my flight with EVA a few weeks ago from LHR. Cost is £548. I couldn't find anything cheaper even going indirect, except the flights that travel through India (Jet Airways), which I'm not

keen on mainly because of the rude staff at Mumbai. Jet Airways, by the way, were fantastic.

I always prefer to travel direct.

I tend to find that you need to give yourself plenty of time for booking flights don't leave it to the last minute you need to book at least 3 months in advance to get the really good deals.

£550 is a pretty decent price I would go for that.

Skyscanner is good, but I've started using Zugu.co.uk as a search engine as well. My last two trips December and this coming weekend I've booked on Oman Air and got £470'sh return both times. Same flight through Oman Air itself was another £50/100. Although used Zugu I actually ended up booking through Netflights who I've used many times.

The only problem i had with the Oman air flight i took in september was on the way back,Had a 4 hour layover in muscat airport which is not great.
