Hi I think I might be getting made redundant this spring( possinble pay off around £ 25,000) and to get over it, I want to spend three weeks in Pattaya. I was planning on going last year, but getting ripped off by a garage put paid to that. One of my friends goes every year and says the low cost of everything, the stunning weather and, of course, the women are fantastic.

When would the best time to go be, how much should I plan on spending, how prevalent are diseases like malaria and dengue and are the ladies as good and as hot as everyone says? As a single man, 43, would I still be able to attract ladies in their twenties and also, not having had sex for a few years, would they understand this? Also are the fake Rolexes as good as the real thing as I fancy buying one to replace my humble Sekonda.

When would the best time to go be, Any time is a good time but for your first trip low season (may-oct) is a good option, it will be hectic enough for you anyway.

how much should I plan on spending,£ 150-200 a day depending on your choice of lodging. You will squander a lot being a newbie!

Well you go once and you never want to go home. I know a divorced man who is 50 who went for three weeks and decided when he came back to freezing old Whitehaven, he wanted another month and hasn't been seen since.

I would like to go to meet the ladies, but knowing me, I could fall for one and blow all my redundancy. Still you only have one life, enjoy it.

It's "only" 7500-10000 baht a day and subtract 1500 for accomodation it leaves him with max 8500 a day and when Glenn hooks up with the first girl in the first bar the very first night she will milk him dry

If he gets a straight-shooting wingman he probabaly only need half but better to be safe than sorry!

It's still a reasonably priced place and obviously it is a case of being careful. However, even in supposedly first world cities like Amsterdam, the scammers are out to get you and Soho in London is plain horrible- only the absolutely desperate or people nostalgic for the seventies would go there. Pattaya has the weather and the ladies are light years of what you would get here.

With current prices in Patts approx 85oo baht a aday is plenty so long as you dont ring the bell in any bar. Accomodation costing 750 a night will be perfectly suitable and that leaves plenty for eating and mongering. Enjoy it because you will never forget it

Mate if you havent had a shag in years then its time to get yourself to Pattaya. So I say go as soon as possible. Im just back from 3 weeks there and I had a ball.

5000 bahts max will do you ok., Be better to get bargirls and maybe keep her few days rather losing your hard earned cash on expensive Agogos, Bargirls are as good as the Agogos in Bed ,maybe more better of a GF experience than Agogos girls..... Sorry to hear you got redundant, Not a nice experience.. Hope you will have a great time to get over with it..
