Flying KLM AMS to BKK

Recommended Posts

Has anybody flown KLM from Amsterdam to Bangkok in the past few months, what are the seats like in economy?

I've read that the planes have recently been updated with TV's in seat backs etc, can anyone confirm this is correct?

Thanks.

Flew KLM from Amsterdam to Bangkok last October. The seats in economy are about the same as other airlines - not much leg room. All seats have TVs. The library of films is quite good. On the whole KLM is a good airline. You can reserve your seat online. Try to get the seats in the rear aisle, as they have a bit more leg room. KLM is also a partner with China Airlines which flies to Bangkok from Amsterdam.

I'm 183cm (6'0") tall but I was rather confortable. A little but useful tip: yes, i prefer aisle seats, but pay attentions: they operates with Boeing 747 or 737, choose the left seat of the lane, because under the right seat there's an aluminium box (I don't knoe what is it) = less space available for legs.

Thanks PallMall & Pinonano, some good tips there.

Glad to hear they have TV's in all the seats, I've flown with China Airlines on the same route and only a screen at the front of the section makes it feel like a longer flight.

Flights already booked with KLM for trip in March PawYai, I've flown Emirates before which I think is a good airline but hate Dubai airport, would much rather have a lay over in Schiphol which is one of the reasons I booked KLM. Price was around £60 cheaper as well.

agree with you, Emirates is quite nice, but stopover in Dubai every times drives me crazy.

The box is for the entertainment system
