does anybody know the ins and outs of importing a motorcycle from the fatherland .

i have two bikes in oz and would love to get one imported.

and are there penalties for bringing in a big bike , as in over 1000cc's

i have heard so many different stories i would like to hear from somebody who has a clue.

If you can get it in, first consider the 200+ % Import Duty charged on (their) valuation of the bike plus shipping and insurance.

If that's not a problem then you'd still better use a business which successfully imports rather than try it yourself - IMO.

Money is the biggest hurdle.
