Hi Guys,

Couple more visa questions.

Here is my trip

Thailand for 3 weeks

Philippines for 1 week

Thailand for 1 week

Go home :-(

1 - Am I ok without getting a Visa? Both trips are under 30 days. It sounded like a Multi Entry visa is more for people staying 90days?

2 - When I enter Thailand for the first 3 weeks I won't have my plane ticket booked to the Philippines as I am going to plan the details with another BM when I arrive. Will I have a problem since my return ticket home is booked 5 weeks out and I won't have a Visa or my ticket to the Philippines to prove I am leaving within the 30 days?

Thanks for any advice you may have.

You could have a problem. The most likely one is that the airline may not let you board the plane to get to Thailand. If you are not admitted to Thailand they are responsible to remove you and they may also get a fine. Obviously the second problem may occur if Thai immigration ask to see your exit ticket. A good solution would be to get a tourist visa before you go. They are free at the moment.

Thanks for the responses. I called the consulate and they advise I get a 60 days tourist visa for the first entry and then just enter without a visa for the second entry.

I'm a bit confused about this. What country are you from? The latest information I have says that you can enter Thailand as many times as you wish, without a Visa, as long as each stay is 30 days or less (if you are from one of 41 countries).

This information was found Here.

The list of 41 countries can be found Here, although there actually seems to be 42 countries in the list.

P.S. Maybe your concern is because of not having a return ticket at the time of your first entry. But I've never (after many trips) had them ask me to show a return ticket. As Scumbag said, your problem may be with the airline. You're probably well advised to get the Visa.

Yes, my concern is with not having a departure ticket for the Phils part of the trip. So when I arrive I will only have proof of departure leaving 5 weeks later. I probably would be ok, but I don't want to fly to the other side of the world to be turned around.
