Hi all

Just wondering?

The forum recommendation for noobs is Pattaya Bay Resort but

according to the reviews its at least a 15 min walk to the Street?

They also charge for a third guest which kinda sucks.

I kinda want something in the center of things preferably with a pool.

Any suggestions.

Thanks

15 minutes?

Well that is if you stop somewhere on the way to have a beer.

It is actually my favourite place, not far from anything.

If you Desire a good hotel, cheap and friendly, that is the place.

I have stayed there on my last 4 trips, and will book there again(but on my next trip,i will stay in LK Renoisance).

And for the 3d guest fee, well that is news to me,never experianced that.

Yea it says it on there website about third guest and reviewers on tripadvisor talk about 20 minute walks too?

Dont want to pay massive money but happy with something average.

How come your changing to the LK is that better in any way or your just looking for a change?

Thanks

The LK is booked by a good friend, but i am pretty sure that i will return to PBR on my future trips, especially since the staff and management is top notch.

Thanks for the replies mate. Will keep it in mind.It does look great just concerned about the

distance as bg's dont walk and tuk tuks are a ripoff lol.

I might mail them about the third guest.Looks promising though if you have not had any issue

with it.

Dunno why they have it on there website.

Yes free service to within a 5 minute walk to Walking Street. Then on the way back it is a baht bus to the Avenue then a 2 minute walk back to the hotel. I think you will find that most hotels charge for a second girl.

Stayed there a couple of times and I agree it is a great place to stay.

I had two girls with me for one night last October, but they didn't charge me any more Baht. Either they made a mistake or they weren't that bothered

It has a great clean pool on the roof, just next to the restaurant.

Staff are very friendly and I reckon trustworthy.

Getting around from there isn't a problem. They offer free tuk tuk to either 2nd Rd or to Soi Buakhow. From the drop off point on 2nd Rd, it is only a three minute stroll to WS.

It is located just behind Avenue Complex on 2nd Rd, so no problem with Baht Buses. I usually hopped on a motorbike taxi direct to hotel 'cos I'm lazy!!!

Cheers

Tony

Yup, as already stated:

I stayed there last 2 trips. GREAT (and cute) staff. Clean rooms.

Walk from hotel lobby through The Avenue Mall puts you on 2nd Road in 3 minutes - that's 90 seconds - if you walk at all briskly. If you lollygag and drag ass, it might take 5 minutes. Avenue Mall has a Starbucks, an Ice Cream shop, a great grocery store with a pharmacy and an EXCELLENT thai and western restaurant in it, and a Kasikorn Bank and ATM, so the Mall has everything you need for your stay in a 3 minute radius.

In front of Avenue Mall you catch baht bus for 10 baht (30 cents) which takes you to Beach Road or Walking Street.

When you return to hotel you and your girl hop onto Baht Bus and it's 2 minutes to Avenue Mall, then 3 minutes walk to PBR.

It's also very close to Soi Bukaow and Soi Diana where lots of other stuff is.

Very nice :)

Does anyone know if its really dead in April or May.

I usually go to Phuket in September and even though its

off peak I have a great time. Also is it a place for guys that

are not teens and not built like a brick shithouse.

Television shows a lot of good looking guys getting the girls.I know

money calls the shots but is Pattya more competitive than Patong?

Is there a few places to have a quiet drink with a few expats and girls

or is it all clubs etc.I like to do a bit of both on holiday.

I see lots of Pattaya v Patong threads but hard to get an honest upfront answer.

Obviously Phuket forum favor there and here favor Pattaya. I know its spicier

and supposed to be a bit cheaper.I really just want to try soapies,bj bars and of

course Devils Den lmao.

Chickened out last year :)
