Anyone know of a hotel for a week (nice/high end would be better but at this point dont care) that doesn't grab the girls ID?

I'm tired of making my dates uncomfortable or even sometimes not allowed because they dont have one with them.

This is my 6th trip to the hard rock hotel and it's just frustrating. Need at least a back up place to stay.

Hmmmm.... it is there for your protection more than anything else.

tip, do not stay at the Hard Rock for a start

there is a thread on here about the hilton where you can get to the room from a lift the floor below reception so no ID was shown

as stated above it is pretty much for your security in case she slips you a mickey finn and emptys your room

This is perfectly normal to the girls and the reception staff, are you sure that you don't have an alterior motive to them not wanting to see ID...

Why would they not carry it with them? You're living dangerously.

Baywalk on beach rd doesnt take id's.

Farang = Walking ATM. TG's push the right buttons and money comes out. PIN = BBBJ

Handing in of ID cards in reception is for your own protection.

No embarrassment to the girls.

If the girls do not carry (or do not want to show) ID, one of the reasons could be they are not of the correct age.

Take care if a girl is hesitant to give over an ID card.

I think you'll have the same 'problem' with the vast majority of upper scale hotels.

Some guesthouses or apartments might be the way forward for you.

I am with you actually, I'd find it an annoyance. I know it is primarily for our protection but if you want to waive that protection it should be up to you.

Like they have stated above, its for your protection.

The girls must be very new to the game because its a standard procedure in most hotels. Any girl who knows the drill will always have her ID card, and if she hasnt she will pretty soon learn.

I guess girls do forget cards, but that should rarely happen unless they dont want to carry them for some sinister reason.

The classroom hotel they do not have a front desk so no id issues and a decent place to stay

Sandy Springs Hotel doesn't card. Don't know why. They'll take it if you ask them to though which I think is nice. Many of the women just walked up and handed them their ID without prompting.

The hotel I hated was the Lek as they not only ID'd but I heard more than once the day guy was asking them for a "tip" before he'd give them back their ID. Repeat visitors asked me to accompany them downstairs so they could go home without hassle. Now that wasn't cool. (This was 5 or more years ago though, not sure if he's still working!)

A long time ago stayed at Pattaya Condotel (Soi 4 I think) didn't card.

As long as the staff treats the person respectfully I don't have an issue with it.

I guess girls do forget cards

I think this is being rather generous.

All girls know they need their ID cards.

The Hard Rock Hotel is well known for being family orientated and not "girl friendly" and hence charge a "joiners fee" for "extra guests".

Many other hotels in Pattaya welcome "extra guests".

Giving over ID cards does 2 things, it protects the guest should anything go missing in the room, the better run hotels will expect you to accompany the girl past reception, or phone your room and ask if all is ok, before handing back her card.

It is also a check to see if all is cool on the age front... for most this is a good thing. Most guys come to Pattaya hoping to stay within the rules.

Never had problems in the LK hotels with ID, they have cameras so its all good.

Well i am a generous guy :GoldenSmile1: but in all seriousness it probably has happened, but i completely agree it shouldnt, and i would certainly be suspicious if it happened to me.

I made a thread about that but it is in the advanced section (here) as I thought it would not be a good idea for a newbie. I understand that you're not a newbie in Pattaya, but not yet advanced member on this board, so you cannot read it.

My problem was to get in a hotel with a regular girl friend 25+yo.

Answers I had was to register her as a guest. I did it, and it didn't realy worked (at Jasmine hotel).

LKMetropole, soi Diana is not to tricky about IDcard the few times I went there. They never asked for it. But it was an evidence that my girlfriends were not underaged...

ID checking is quite comon in hotels around the world. every time you check-in a hotel they take copy of your passport ! So it goes the same with your guests. Hotels are supposed to know who is coming in and out, guests or customers.

However, as soon as you ask this on PA, the first suspicion is that you want to take an underage girl... I think people looking for that (UA) don't come on a board to ask about no idcard checking places.

Ok, I think you'll have to do with it in Pattaya, unless you're with a regular girlfriend and register her as a guest. Or go in guest houses in soi buakhao

Metro Apartments on Soi LK Metro isn't "high-end," but they don't require ID checking. It's "up to you."

I have to admit I am not a huge fan of the compulsory carding either. If it is voluntary, then I am all for it, but once it becomes compulsory, then I feel that it invades my privacy. I must admit that I feel uncomfortable when I have to approach the reception desk with the TG to check her in- I feel that the less people are "in the know" about my neferious activities the better.

The last time I stayed at the Marriott, and that place is so large and spread out that I had no problem bringng the girl into the room bypassing the reception desk altogether. The problem is that the place is just too expensive and next time I would prefer to stay at LK Reneissance but I know that that place has compulsory carding, so I have been holding off on making the reservation hoping a better alternative will come up.

In conclusion, if it is done "for my protection" then it really should be voluntary.

My experience is that the girl will leave her card or the hotel will keep her card as long as she is with you, so a GFE does not have to keep handing over her card and keep retrieving it.

So the most likely place is the 200 plus a night Hilton. Looks beautifull.

I'll check out the Marriot too.

The classsroom and the baywalk don't appear to be up there enough.

Thanks for the advice guys.

Looking forward to another couple of weeks in Paradise.

Most Guest Houses don't take the girls ID.

Posted

I do like my place to take the girl's ID, for all the reasons mentioned before. Still, if the lady doesn't have one and you sure she's not going to be a problem, many hotels and guesthouses will still let you take her upstarirs if she fills in a form and you sign it, taking all responsability for any mishaps. Just ask at reception.

I have stayed in LK Renaissance, in my experience carding was optional.

Simply walk past reception confidently.

If they say anything, raise a hand or just say, "no worries".

Alternatively there is a side entrance up the left hand side of the building, next to the lifts.

I took a group of 3 ladies in, and had no problems.

The location of this hotel is fab.

I do not have a budget, so I go for the top suite, on the top floor. There is one 2 bedder and one 3 bedder.

The staff there are top notch... "up to you"... the manager said to me... you can have as many people in your suite as you like.. and I did that.
