Getting to Ban Phe from airport

I amplanning on taking my lady to Samet for a few days newt month and the plan isto drop the hire car off at Suvarnabhumi and head straight to Ban Phe. I knowthat we could catch a bus from the Eastern bus terminal, but due to timeconstraints (cant get to airport before 12:30) I doubt it we’d make it to the ferry terminal before 5pm. Shesuggested we get a meter taxi straight there. But I’m not sure about this, as I’veno idea what the cost could be.

Does anyoneknow of any companies who would take us? Or do you think its best to bite thebullet and get a meter taxi?

thanks

Like you, I doubt you can make it by going to Ekkamai.

That option is perhaps too expensive...., but it is an option! : http://www.limousine...g-transfer.html

(a metered taxi should be cheaper)

Last week, I used Suriya Tour from Ban Phe to Pattaya. At 10am, there was a minibus going to the airport (and another to Bangkok downtown). I don't know at what time they come back.

With Google, I found that number : Suriya Tour Service 038 651 461

Try to call, and ask.

In case this number is not valid anymore, you can call the SaiKaew Villa on Samet (http://www.saikaew.com) and ask the number of Surya Tour (this hotel works with them).

It's a bit tricky, I hope some other BM can be more helpful.

Is there a bus service like Bell that goes from Swampi thru Pattaya to Ban Phe to get to Ko Samet?

Perhaps it would not be too expensive to take Bell bus to Pattaya then take a metered taxi to Ban Phe.

Does anyone have an idea how much a metered taxi would be?

Thanks for any suggestions.

I did a deal with BKK cabbie. 2500 from swampie to Ban Phe. It was a three and half hour trip. Worth £50 any day. If I had time to spare I prob would have gone the bell bus route. But I had driven from Chiyapoom to swampi that morning and couldnt face anymore fucking about. Plus I wanted to get to samet that night. So taxi was by far the easiest method.

On the way we got the bus back. The bus picks up directly at the pier where u get off the boat. I think the price was 350bht for both of us. It took about 4 hours and dropped us off at Exami. I was then looking for a cab to take me to soi 4. The first two said 400bht. The third put his meter on and it was only 89bht
