Ive a TGF and she has an Uncle Thai Policeman that lives in BKK, who she has asked about this, he is going to ask and get back to me.. I will send my TGF and Uncle to collect it, Put all the paperwork in her name i was thinking..

there are a few places on Samui that hire out Quad bikes and also a place that has a quad trek coarse , from what i understand the problem is not so much getting them into Thailand , the problem is that they are not a registared vehicle so that they cannot be issued a tax disk or papers , thereby making them illegal to drive on the road ,

i would check up on that first

"And were you pleased?" they asked Helen in Hell.

"Pleased?" answered she,when all Troy's towers fell;

And dead were Priam´s sons, and lost his throne?

And such a war was fought as none had known;

And even the Gods took part; and all because

Of me alone! Pleased?

I should say I was!"

I heard that too... In Phuket loads of quads but on off road tracks and expensive to rent... Check the laws otherwise expensive mistake

I saw a guy running a quad on the streets of Pattaya (2nd Road) last time I was there. He had a bunch of kit on it, like it was something he road around on every day. Unfortunately, I didn't check to see if there was a license plate on it. Also on 2nd Road, somewhere in the area of Royal Garden (same side of the road), I could have sworn I saw a place renting out quads. Maybe someone currently in Pattaya can check on that.

I know that's not really what you were asking, but since others have brought up the legality of riding a quad on the street, I figured you might want to check into that before shipping one over from China.

It's called Brothers ATV and is located on the opposite side of the road to the Residence Garden Hotel on Thap Phraya road.

you can definitely rent and buy road legal quads in Thailand

a mate of mine has a disability and rents one every time he is here

re importing from China just go and see some of the renters, I am sure for a few baht they would give you some info

theres already chinese quads in los mostly up north coming by land china>lao>los.

not sure what you want to do

import to sell?

very tricky

I can point you to top line farm and full race japanese quads if you want

(import duty is the big issue and unless the thai cop is very high up or involved in customs

he will be of little help)
