LK Renaissance - cheaper through Agoda or calling direct?

Recommended Posts

I'm heading to Pattaya in early April, and I'm planning on staying at the LK Renaissance.

Right now Agoda is offering a Deluxe room at $70USD (+fees and taxes). The LK site lists more or less the same price, but includes fees and taxes.

Seems like a reasonable rate, but if I were to call the hotel directly would I have a good chance of getting a better offer?

TIA.

Worth getting a quote from asiam.com They usually include all taxes and can sometimes be cheaper than Agoda.

sorry, typo, should have been atsiam.com

worth also checking out LK Renaissance just a bit further up. their superior rooms are big and usually less baht than the Metro

Thanks TT - I gave that a try but the price seems comparable so I'll just proceed with the booking through Agoda.

you will get a better deal if you e-mail tong the manager direct.

I paid 2800 baht/night for the LK Rennaissance. I checked with the LK Metro, and they didn't even discount me a rate. Tong the manager is a stand up guy, and the hotel is first class. Very happy with my stay here.

Try all the sites, get the best rate, then phone up Tong the manager, during Thai daytime, and ask if he can better it, or if he wants you to book via web (booking via web does not give the hotel as much cash directly)

Do the research, then phone direct.

One more thing... ask him for 2 breakfast tickets per day.

All the resources at LK Metropole are available to Lk Ren people.

Call them direct. 50,000 for a one month stay is a great deal.

LK Renaissance has lost its appeal for me. Ive stayed here since it opened and it has slipped in quality. Wont stay here again, can stay elsewhere for the same money with newer/fresher rooms.

I don't buy out the bar, I buy the nightspot.

What other places do you recommend? I feel the same about value for money going down slightly in the past year. But it's hard to beat the location. Curious what your new favorite is.

Agree on the location, its perfect.

Next trip Im staying at the Hilton, costs alot more but its world class quality. Mind you, there are some 2k a night rates at the Hilton, depending on time of year. There were some for early December. Today I checked it out and the 8k rate has dropped to 5k. I am considering cutting short my LK stay to be honest.

Tim Boutique has always been raved about but I cant comment. The newer LK properties are apparently great but location is not the best. There is one down on Pratunmak, 2 towers, brilliant rooms.

Other than Hilton, I cant think of anything else dude.

Wow, the hilton looks great.. But yeah even at 5k out of my price range for Pattaya. (unless I'm booking a villa or suite for a party!) I'm staying for a month so the cost would really add up. Thanks for the quick reply.
