Calling home from thailand

As you can imagine I did not share my trip to my family and friends back home about this thailand trip. During this lengthy trip I used the overseas call to call korea. Any chance of them finding where I am calling from??

I would say yes, especially if you're calling either their home or cell phone in which they have caller ID. The country code (66) will show up along with the number you're calling from on the display panel. Once in a great while, "Unknown Caller" may show up but thats usually the exception and not the norm..

I usually use my home-mobile abroad (everywhere), as it then shows your home-number (you could be everywhere).

 

As long as you don`t share the bill - no worries.

In the future I would suggest that you say its too expensive to call from wherever they think you are going and that you will just email them a few times.
